Christmas Day Pictures!

We start off Christmas Day with my yearly photo shoot by the tree!!

I actually like my face in this one!

Too bad that box wasn't wrapped!

Yes I am barefoot. 1. I prefer being barefoot ALL the time and 2. my parents heat with wood heat and its always WARM in their house. Growing up my Christmas pics have me in shorts. In Indiana. true story.

Dad was getting alittle antsy. Mom and I were taking pictures. At least he didn't threaten to go cut wood this year!

FINALLY!! Bible Time!!!

Dad opens his first present! A new toolbox!!!

I've really been wanting a watch so I was excited to get one and ITS PINK!!!!

Mom sporting the headband I made her!

Grams posing in her new pretty necklace I got her!

This is pure JOY on my face people! My first picture with my NEW CAMERA!!!! After I opened it and started screaming my Dad looks at my Mom and says WHY!!! WHYY!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!!?!? hahahah poor man hates having his picture taken and having it put on teh internetz.

My Momma! Isn't she beautiful!!! I thought this was a really cute picture of her!

My Grams gave her booties she wore as a baby! So Cool!!

And a homemade dress that someone had made for her that she wore as a baby as well! I think it would be neat if Kev and Liz had a little girl and she could get her picture taken in that dress!

And finally, the heavens rejoiced when I finally had dinner!!! We were supposed to eat at 3. At 2:55 we see Dad pull out of the driveway and leave to go do chores!!! I thought I was going to die from starvation!

It was a really good Christmas, nice to have a break and so great to be able to spend time with my family!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
