Grace in the small things-Sick Edition

1. Having my sweet bible study friend Michelle, as my nurse at Urgent Care this week! I was so sick and depressed, seeing her face really made me feel better!

2. And knowing God had sent her to be my nurse at that moment just for that made me want to cry!

3. My friend Nicki D who just happens to work at my pharmacy. When i had a reaction to my meds and a new one had to be called in an hour before the pharmacy closed she was able to get it filled and then texted me as soon as it was ready so i could come pick it up. SO thankful for that!!

4. The fact that I am starting to see the light , no, not THAT LIGHT, but the light at the end of this sickness tunnel.

5. Friends that care about me being sick despite the fact that I spent 98% of my life sick. They still care and listen and ask questions and want to know and help.

So glad I could help you Charity. You remind me that what I do is significant in people's lives. Sometimes I get bogged down in the "business" at work and forget that. God is using me, even though I am only with the patients for a few minutes. See....God used you too! Love ya! Let me know if you need anything!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
