So its a new year and I am going to purpose this year to get back into counting my grace in the small things. I don't know if they will be every day or every week but at least once a week I am going to post about how God has blessed me in that week!
The first Grace comes along with a picture. I am SO THANKFUL for whoever saw my lights on my truck turned on after I came back from lunch on Thursday. They took down my employee parking number and through that Reception was able to track me down and let me know my lights were on.
Thursday night I worked overtime and didn't leave untill after 8:30, I am so thankful I did not leave then to discover my battery was dead! Instead I found out at 3 pm, and later that afternoon Shane, our erstwhile Security guy, came outside with me with this handy box charger and charged my battery! It was fabulous! It was only on my battery for like 2 mins and then i just sat in my truck and let everything charge. I have jumper cables but I so need one of those boxes!
Thursday was a kind of up and down day, with my truck and then my computer broke, but there was a moment that was just SO GOOD, I had a student come in upset and needing help and on the verge of tears. By the time she left we were able to fix her entire problem and totally change her day. Instead of her being stressed out and upset she was SO HAPPY and relieved and It was just such a great feeling! It reminded me why I was there and why I love what I do! I love being able to help people and totally change their day.
I did have a list of 4 other big graces but my brain has went on vacation and I can't remember them.
I will say that this week I have purposefully been trying to find the good and the blessings in everything. Last week I had such a horrible week and was in such a bad mood, I knew I didn't want to continue on with that or start another year with such a nasty black heart.
Small Graces:
Coming home to a crock pot of yummmyyyyy Taco Soup thanks to my fabulous SIL giving me the recipe and making it for us last week!
Catching up on past episodes of a show. I love weekend re-runs!
Finally getting my tree down and my apt cleaned and almost back to normal.
Scoring a new nativity at Walmart for 1.25! I love after Christmas deals!
Having my electric bill be actually what I budgeted for! Living on the third floor is actually helping my heat bill stay down! YAYS!!
