7 Quick Takes

1. I promise I will start blogging more actual posts than Mid Week Confessions and 7 Quick takes. Life has been very busy and very sickly lately!

2. I am loving that I haven't had to wear a coat for the past week and a half. Ok well maybe I should be wearing a coat, but seriously, I'm a hoosier, it gets above 34 degrees and I find it warm. And I hate coats!

3. Plans are starting to come together for my 30'th Birthday and I'm starting to get excited!! Still not thrilled about the number, but I'm looking forward to getting to spend some time with my friends!

4. I got one of those fancy new waterbottles where you press the lever at the back of it and it slides open the drinking hole. Yeah you should really be careful when you release the lever and it closes. I got sprayed on my face with ice cold water. It did however wake me up so that was a bonus.

5. I've looked at two potential homes this week, and I really liked the second one! The first had more space, but I could see myself in the second home. Plus it had a garage :) I am getting excited to move and be in a bigger, and quieter space.

6. I cannot WAIT to have my Piano with me at my house!!

7. I really need to get my Violin Re-strung, I've been meaning to for a long time now but I keep putting it off. Really need to do it so I can practice!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
