Mid Week Confessions

So I confessed last week about leaving my laundry in the clothes dryer all week long. You will be happy to know that is not the case this week! Oh no! You see, I needed to dry blankets for girls nite Saturday night so I got my load of laundry OUT of the dryer. And threw it on my bedroom floor. Since I've been sick and one step away from seeing Jesus all week, the laundry is STILL laying on the floor. I am not a clothes on the floor person so this is driving me nuts. But apparently not nuts enough to put it away..

When I'm sick I still drink Coke. At times it's the only thing I can stomach. The only other thing I can stomach when sick is usually a McFlurry from McDonald's. Something about the soft serve vanilla I can do. Other ice cream, not so much. But the light texture of the McFlurry I can handle.

While being sick this week, I showered and then didn't dry or do my hair and slept on it. This resulted in a hair do that is only rivaled by Bruno Mars and the Bride of Frankenstein love child. The latter was referred to me by my BFF, because while I looked frightening it was just too good not to share.

So I have my first post sinus surgery sinus infection. And let me tell you folks, if the surgery and recovery was not gross enough, it's not glamorous. I will spare you the details, but I subjected the aforementioned BFF and my Mom to them, because really, some things are just too disturbing not to share with someone else.

And a snarky Confession. When I talk to someone on the phone or in person, in my sick man frog voice and they say oh wow! You're sick! It makes me want to slap them. No, really? I had no idea!

I was never a clothes on the floor person until I had a baby. Now piles of laundry are the norm!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
