Mid Week Confessions

This is rather embarrassing to admit, but, I got a letter from the Library informing me my privileges have been revoked. Apparently a book I returned had wet pages, (ahem from my milk spilling, yes It's my fault) I *stupidly* thought since the book beside it, which was mine, dried, then it would be fine. Um yeah, not fine. Whoopsie! Now I have to go chunk down twenty eight dollars to have my privileges returned and I'm wondering if this is going to go on my permanent library record???!

I went all day today thinking I looked super cute and so put together until I saw the pictures I had taken and went UGH. Why is it that you can look in the mirror and think your hair and outfit look good and then see yourself in a picture and realize you were greatly struggling? Am I the only one this happens to?

My breaks need replaced on my truck and this is resulting in very LOUD squealing and grinding noises. I am SO embarrassed when I go to church and people hear my loud truck. Nowhere else bothers me, but in the church parking lot, they are just obnoxiously loud and hard to miss.

I haven't been keeping up on my monthly bible verse memorization. I have some written out and on my desk and i read them but I haven't been reciting them to myself or you know, MEMORIZING them. I keep thinking of the kids in AWANA that do it every week. I need one of them to come and kick my butt into shape!

I am 30 and just now starting to wear a little bit of actual skin care. The only reason I am is that they were given to me by my friends Kim and Emboz. I don't know what it is but I really hate spending time getting ready or slapping stuff on my face. I know I will regret this when I'm old(er) so I'm trying to start it now.

We had a missionary speak at church Sunday, who was really interested, but he kept depressing me after he said multiple times about how everything is downhill after you turn 30.  When I left the service I was about ready to head out and buy a walker and some depends.

That library confession made me laugh! I didn't know a library would revoke privlages.

I didn't know the Library could revoke privileges!!! You'd think they would give you a few chances before they cut you off. Funny!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
