First Week of 2014 Recap!

I ran to Target after church last week and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they still had Christmas Clearance items! I made out like a bandit in the dollar spot! I got this super cute pillow which was marked down to 90 cents!!
They were also selling these glasses? Not sure why, apparently you only need to be hydrated at Christmas time? I bought 3 of them, 2 for makeup in my bedroom, and then I created this cute little pretty thing for my desk. Oh yes, and they were only 30 cents!
After I created one pretty thing for my desk I decided to do more! So I grabbed this small little candle holder..
And then I found a Mason Jar and rigged up this cute thing. I thought it looked very wintery and snow life!
New Years Eve Day I was a busy busy girl! I had to run out and get craft supplies to finish Katie's Christmas gift. My Mom told me I should give E6000 Glue a try instead of my trusty glue gun (that I always burn myself on. Multiple times.) This was the warning on the back of the glue. I was not supposed to breathe it in, or eat or drink while using it. Creepy.
The Finished product! I taught myself how to make sparkly monograms and made one for Katie and her hubs! I was pleased with how it turned out! Their grown up room is black, white and red, so I knew I wanted something to match those colors!
I was really pleased with how it turned out!!!
Continuing on my domestic diva day, I made Cookie Dough Fudge to bring to her house. It was SO good!!!
I forgot to take a picture of the actual breadsticks, but I made a knock off of Olive Garden's famous breadsticks. They.Were.SO.SO.SO GOOD!!! I'm not skilled at making bread, so I was really proud of myself!! I had to smile when I realized I had wrapped my bread in towels to keep it warm, just like my Momma does!
Thursday Audra and Cubbie were coming over for Dinner so I decided to mess around with my hair. Isn't it beautiful?!
Juuuuussssttt kidding! I finger combed out the awkwardsauce curls!
It was nice to do something a little different!
The back just thrown together with bobby pins. Bobby Pins are my BFF. (Ignore the fact I was washing my bedding!
I thought oh how pretty when I looked at this picture of myself. And then I uploaded it to my computer and saw just how dirty my mirror was. (IS) hahahahah oh awkward. I need to clean that!!
Cubbie likes to snuggle on the couch with me, so he made himself comfortable and used my pillow for his head! HA!
This was taken earlier this morning. It's been snowing and snowing and snowing. We are approaching Blizzard conditions, and our temps are going to be around-18 to -20 the next few days. SO Thankful I do not have to go outside! Although i did not stock up on Coke so this could become a tad dire.
Now that Christmas is over I can finally show this awesome present that I made for my bro and sil and my parents! It's my Grandparents wedding Picture, my parents, and my bro and sil's! And since Snugglemuffin and I are not married :) Just a cute picture of us together! The blue sign on the side was given to me from a Piano Family and it fit perfectly! This is on the top shelf of my TV Armoire.
The script on the top is the verse that says "I have no greater joy than to know my children walk in truth" the verse underneath me and B is "Choose this day who you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord."
I was holding this sign in my hand to try and hang it somewhere else and accidently set it on the side of the cabinet and was shocked it didn't move! Upon closer inspection I had little somethings that It was able to hang on!
My New Years Eve Date. Joey Armstrong. :) Watching him get in and out of this costume was the most hilarious thing! Bless his heart!
I am in denial of how big he is! I also put shimmer on my cheeks which was an ill advised idea. Whoops. Sam Sam was my snuggle buddy all night, but I didn't get a picture with him :(

January Recap

Tap, Tap, Tap. Is this thing on? No, your eyes aren't deceiving you, I'm back blogging after almost a year of not posting anything. I did a month long Prayer and Fasting with my church and abstained from Social Media (more about that to come) and during that time I realized I really missed blogging! So here I am! Clearly I'm rusty at this because I managed to upload my pictures in the opposite order, and I'm too lazy to go through and move each and every one of them, so we are going to look back at the month of January from the end to the start! Let's go! The Last day of January was a busy one. Well for me at least, after spending most of 2022 on my parents couch, inbetween surgeries, doing anything is busy for me. I had a piano tuning for Old faithful, my new to me baby grand, so I hung out in my bedroom while my tuner was there, and worked on my laptop. Before that I had my 1 year Brow touch up with Marissa at Lafayette Microblading. It had actually been over a

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t

Frugal Friday- (Some) Tips and Tricks on how I get the most bang for my buck

(Shoutout to Ollies for the perfect Picture for this blog post) Remember when it was January and I said I was going to blog more this year? Well, it's now December, and I haven't blogged since January so clearly that goal went out the window.  BUT! I am here blogging today to share something I'm passionate about! And that is SAVING MONEY! And spending the least amount of money on things. Listen, the lower the price of something is, the more I like it.  I was waxing poetic about this subject to a friend on Marco Polo this week and decided that I felt the need to share it with the world. So, world, (or the three people who read my blog) You're Welcome. Sidenote: These are just some of the ways I stretch my dollars and get money back from purchases. Some of these have referral codes that if you join from them I get some sort of a reward, and some don't have codes, or I'm just not cool enough to know where to find them. Use the code, don't use the code, but plea
