What's Up?

Filed under the Better Late than Never, I'm joining the What's up Wednesday link up, that was a week ago, and I'm jumping in on a Monday. Might as well be fully off the beat!

  • What I'm eating this week. Well it's Monday. So not a whole lot yet! I'll be eating out more this week, Weds is my lunch with Audra and Addie and Thursday night I'm going to a banquet. Stay tuned for reports on both!
  • I can't get over how much Addie has grown! Auds posted pics this morning of her sitting up reading books. She's almost 3 months old and can hold her head up and just looks SO BIG to me! :(
  • I'm loving this warmer weather, shorts, flip flops and not having my heat running! Can I get an Amen?!
  • What I'm dreading. I wouldn't say dreading, but tomorrow, Tuesday, is going to be a crazy long day of teaching. I am tired just thinking about it.
  • What I'm working on. My To Do list! Monday is paperwork, ect day for me. So I've been working on odds and ends and trying to prepare for the week's lessons.
  • I'm excited about the Banquet Thursday night! Jboz is coming with me and we're meeting Audra and her friend there, and did I mention that the Duggars are going to be there?! Well, Josh and Anna at least. I'm a HUGE Duggar fan and I feel like Anna and I could be friends :)
  • What I'm watching. Right now I have a massive, unhealthy addiction to Hawaii Five-0 on Netflix. Yes, you read that correctly. The new remake on CBS, It is so smart and funny and the guys aren't ugly either :)
  • Right now I'm listening to silence, and the sound of my fan running. Ahh.. Sweet peace and quiet!
  • I'm wearing PJ's, which since it's warm outside now, consist of a t shirt and basketball shorts. #fashionista
  • What I'm doing this weekend. Landscaping. Mom is coming on Friday and we're planting flowers and some lilac and rose bushes! After that I will have to sleep outside to make sure my colony of rabbits don't eat them like they did my tulips. #thismeanswar
  • I'm looking forward to Jboz's baby being born! and having a hospital party! Also excited for more summer, and possibly a little kiddie pool in my back yard.
  • What else is new? Not a whole lot! I have discovered Aldi's and am basically in love with them and their cheap cheap prices. Even their produce is cheap!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
