It's me, Charity

Yesterday as we were driving around charging my battery, Dad drove past the local news, WLFI TV 18, and they were doing a spot right where we were stopped at the traffic light! I didn't have my contacts in so I really couldn't see what I was taking a picture of :) but he is as close as we got to being famous!

Today has to be preserved to remind me that things could always be worse. I got up and got ready for work, headed out to my truck at 7:30 like I always do. I went to click it unlocked and nothing happened. Suddenly I had a sinking feeling and realized that I had left my lights on from when I got home from the dentist at 3 pm YESTERDAY! My battery was deader than a doornail. I proceeded to call anyone and everyone I had ever met in my entire life. And no one had jumper cables or could give me a lift to work. So I was freaking out. I HAD to be at work, so finally after no luck I called a cab and they said they would be there in 15 mins. So I went outside and waited on them, while talking to my Mom on my cell explaining what was going on. She asked me why I didn't call my Grams and have her come. Um.. because she's almost an hour away? After awhile I realize the cab should have been there by now so I get off the phone and call them back. It is now 30 mins after my first call. They...

So brilliant person that I am, I decided to have some jawbreakers this morning at work. Thank you T for putting all of those on the front desk. Really appreciate that! Of course, as my life goes, I managed to break off a piece of my tooth. Incidentally it was the tooth I had my root canal on, that I've put off getting a crown for. Sigh. I can't get into my dentist untill tomorrow afternoon. Double sigh. As if all of that wasn't enough I found out that even though I signed up for Dental Insurance, apparently they lost the paperwork or SOMETHING so I have NO COVERAGE. NONE. NADA. ZIP. I think I'm going to hide under my desk and cry now.

1. I'm starting to feel guilty that my personal blog looks so dorky and my professional one looks so nice.. 2. I absolutely LOVE having shorter hair. It makes me feel so much spunkier. 3. I feel skinner than I look. 4. I feel like I'm caught between dressing like a college student and an adult. I need Stacy and Clinton to help me! 5. I actually have plans for the next THREE weekends! WHAT! 6. I'm looking forward to going home, putting on some shorts, and going out on my balcony and reading People Magazine while the sun shines down on me.. ahhhhh.... 7. I'm turning into a lotion freak. My current faves are butterfly flower and white citrus from bath and body works.

So yesterday I decided to wear my new "big girl shoes" to work, since we were having a special breakfast in the john purdue room i wanted to look like I worked here and not like a college student! So I wore the shoes and they looked stinking fantastic. Unfortunately my ankle did not like the slight kitten heel and i had to ice it when i got home. The shoes kept sliding around so the back of my foot isn't too happy either. But who cares, they looked FABULOUS!! I think Shasta would approve!!

So last night I decided I would take advantage of the 4.99 haircut sale at Great Clips. I went in just intending to get a trim and lots of layers. Wellllllll.. as always that changed and i lost an inch of my length and now my hair is above my chin but I LOVE IT!! She also thinned it out so its not as danged thick and that feels sooooo good!! Here I am with Josh of Josh and Caroline Fame. I didn't get a picture with Caroline on Saturday so Josh stood in for one! During the afternoon I was able to run over to AG and visit with my friend Tyler! After I got back to my post (after having my face painted of course!!) my friend Karen, from Bible Study stopped by! It was so sweet of her to come see me!!
