The stomach infection of death, and why you should check every single ingredient of what you put into your body when you're on Flagyl

s Ok friends, bare with me as I explain what has been going on with my body the past month +. I will try to be as brief as possible, I debated whether to share the whole bits and pieces of it all, but what caused my er trip this past Monday was 100% preventable. No one educated me, so if I can share this and save one person from going through the pain and sickness I've went through, it's worth it. Here we go! Monday Sept 28, 2020 : Diagnosed with a double ear infection by my ENT. Fluids from ear are making me sick to my stomach. He prescribes a new to me antibiotic instead of my tried and true one. Stupidly, I let him. The antibiotic immediately starts bothering my stomach * (This is important to the entire story) and I don't feel like it's competing getting rid of my infection. I'm off work sick the entire week with no clue that I would STILL be off work sick over a month later. Monday October 5, 2020: Another mostly sleepless night. I feel worse than the week be...

Book Review: Don't Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard

Don't keep Silent is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice series by Elizabeth Goddard. If you have not read any of her books you need to immediately hop on amazon or your library's website and start with the first book in this series! Ms. Goddard very quickly became one of my must read for Christian Romantic Suspense books. (My fave genre!!) She writes real life characters who have real life issues and struggles, ok well maybe not everyone in life is getting shot at or having attempts on their life but you know what I mean! I found this book to be a little bit harder to get into than her other two books that I have read. I should have backed up and re read book 2 again to refresh my memory, I think that would have helped. Once I got Into the flow I read the rest of the book quickly! My only dislike if you could even call it that, is that I felt like the final chapter or the wrap up of you will, of the mystery/story needed to be longer. After an entire book of the my...

2020: Well that took a turn...

When we last left off on February 3, 2020, I was all excited to be back blogging this year, and was looking forward to my Birthday month. Well, just days after I wrote that post, on Feb 9 I began to have some weird symptoms start in my body. Feb 9, I went to church and served since it was the second sunday of the month. That afternoon I was home and doing my normal Sunday cleaning and noticed after running the sweeper I was a little out of breath and wheezing. Which is not normal for me. I brushed it off and went about my day. Monday, Feb 10 I woke up and felt like I was in the beginning stages of a cold. Lots of throat clearing and a little bit of dry coughing. I taught that day and then that evening I was super pumped to go to a Relationship Panel at church for all the single people. I went and met some new people and had a great time learning from everyone on the panel. I still felt like maybe I was getting a cold, but really didn't feel bad. Tuesday was the same. I didn...

What's Up Wednesday- I'm BAAACCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!

Hello Blog World!! Its been a minute since I have posted on the ol' blogaroo. (Minus a few book reviews) Ok it's been a year. Whatevs. After blogging every week in 2018, I decided to take a break and only do it when I felt like it in 2019. Which turned out to be not very much! HA! I don't know how much I will blog this year but I do miss having a place to write down and keep all of my memories, so we will see what happens! I thought I would jump back into blogging with a good ol' What's Up Wednesday to get us caught up on life!  So here we go! What I'm eating this week: I'm starting to write this on a Tuesday, Monday I made mini Naan Pizzas and then made a big batch of pancakes. So this morning I had a pancake for breakfast and it was delish! Tonight I will be picking up Buck Creek Pizza since I will be in the area and I am really looking forward to it! What I'm reminiscing about: Nothing at the moment! ...

Book Review: The way of the brave by Susan May Warren

Today I am excited to talk about a recent book I received from Revell to read and review. All opinions are my own and I thank Revell for providing me with a free book in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions! So the Way of the Brave is the first book the new "Global Search and Rescue" series by Warren.  I have been reading her books for years and I always amazed at how much technicality she writes in her books. This book focuses a lot on mountain climbing, and by mountain climbing I mean hard core mountain climbing that takes weeks and months. Her last series, which was the Montana Rescue Series had a myriad of different characters with extensive rescue training. One character was a snowboarder (Or skier, can't remember which) and she wrote about that in extensive detail. It boggles my mind how much research she must do to write these books because they are so detailed and technical. I always walk away learning things that I had no clue about after reading one...

Book Review: One Final Breath by Lynn H. Blackburn

The short version of my review is this: GO BUY THIS BOOK! Now for the extended length version. Friends, If Lynn H. Blackburn wrote a user agreement or privacy policy.  I would read the whole dang thing. She is just that brilliant of a writer.  Few writers have me counting down the actual days to their book release, but Lynn makes the cut. I could not wait for the third installment of the Dive Team Investigators series to come out and the only thing disappointing about it was that it ended. Gabe and Anissa's love story was SO. GOOD.  I love that Anissa is so prickly and Gabe just kept pursuing her and wouldn't give up. There is something to be said for a man who fights for the love of his woman. (In a non creepy, non stalker way of course The Romance to this book was everything I wanted it to be and more and she didn't make me wait until the very end of the book for them to get together which is my biggest pet peeve when I read any sort of a romance. I stick with...

Book Review: You Belong with Me by Tari Faris

It has been a minute since I have done a book review. Or Blogged for that matter. But I am BACK!! Today we are going to talk about one of the latest published books by Revell. They house some of my favorite authors and when I saw this book by a new author on the reviewing email I was interested and excited to try her out! This is Book 1, in the "Restoring Heritage" series by Tari Faris. Heritage is the town that the characters live in. The first book focuses on two couples, or rather two not couples, at least for a majority of the book. Hannah and Luke are childhood best friends that somehow don't realize that both of them are in love with the other person.  The book also focuses on Hannah's Brother Thomas, and her other bestie Janie. I found it a little confusing to have to go back and forth between FOUR characters points of view. Much like a TV show that gets interesting and goes to the commercial break, things would get interesting in a chapter...
