All is calm, All is bright..

Ok So its not exacly Christmas in July but its close!!

Thankfully, nothing too earth shattering has happened in the past few days. Work has been stressful, but I am learning to deal with it and try to make the best of it. Thanks to Katie I actually enjoy myself part of the time.

I am enjoying getting to know her. We talked on the phone last night and that was nice. She is a really sweet girl and reminds me so much of Kim, my BESTEST FRIEND :) so thats kind of comforting too.

Speaking of Kim, we talked on the phone tonight for almost two hours, it was soooo nice!! I am doing better about actually talking to her on the phone. I get so sick of being on the phone at work that when I come home thats the last thing I wanted to do. But I was reminded of how much fun it is to talk to her on the phone. She comepletely and totally gets me. Even when I can't even describe things properly she totally knows what I'm talking about! (Linus Piano!! I am SO on the hunt!!! :):) ) SO that was alot of fun.

I went to Payless Shoe Source and Target after work and picked up a few cute items. I got some ADORABLE red and white striped wedge heels on clearance at Payless. They are actually really comfortabe for heels. I live in flats so its new for me! I also got an adorable pair of pink American Eagle flip flops. I have a matching pair in green that I love, and actually wore today! So I was excited to find that pattern in pink, since i wear it so much, and on clearance!

Unfortunately I did not find any black dress shoes to wear to Zoies wedding next week. I went to Target and heavens have mercy their heels are over 5 inches tall! CRAZINESS!! I'm 5'8" i don't need to be an amazon!!!!!! Sheesh... Not to mention I fell over everytime I tried a heel on. (thank you target employee for laughing at me) I did however find two really cute lipglosses. (my other vice) on clearance of course!!! One matches my top for the wedding quite well so that made me happy! And I picked up a long tunic blue and white striped shirt for 4 bucks.. CLEARANCE! So I walked out happy and with money still in my pocket!

So tonight I'm just relaxing after a very LONG work week and hopefully I wil get to sleep in well tomorrow. My parents are coming sometime to bring my couch down and get rid of my old one. SO at this time tomorrow night I will HOPEFULLY be sitting on my couch all cozy and comfy watchinga movie!! :)

I am insanely hungry right now but don't want to cook and really don't want to have to put on a bra to go out and get something... Should I starve or go out? I know I"ll only be MORE hungry when I wake up tomorrow. I always wake up starved on the weekends since I eat breakfast so early at work. hmmm decisions decisions!!!

This has been a very boring blog, but sometimes boring is good!!:)

JESUS IS COOL!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

The Bible Recap Day 45- Leviticus 5-7 (Year Three Podcast)

Welcome back to Leviticus Friends! Today we are in chapters 5-7 and I'll admit on the first pass through of it, while listening to it on my Bible app and reading along, I didn't make a ton of notes. But when I listened to the pod things made more sense, and I got a lot more from it. Which is why I highly reccomend listening to the pod after doing your reading. TL breaks it down and shares historical and meanings of things that those of us not steeped in our Hebrew, might not know.  Things I found interesting: She mentioned that God is the only one who has spoken so far in Leviticus. Tomorrow we get a switchup with Moses and Aaron but so far the first 7 chapters have all been God talking! We talk about blood some more, and she again makes the note that it is a reminder of the fall and that God is working on rebuilding Eden. She also notes that blood is given back to God because God is the giver and taker of life.  A question I had, when we were in 5:11, talking about the rich a...
