A time to be Thankful...

There is nothing like waiting untill almost a week has passed to blog about the holiday. :) Suffice it to say I had a WONDEFUL Thanksgiving with my family!!

I got to see my pet cow, Precious..

I also got to spend time with my wonderful doggie, Beastie. He was very excited to see me, even though he doesn't look like it in the picture. Everytime I get my camera out, he tries to pose. Unfortunately that involves thrusting his head up very high.. Poor dog struggles!!

And what thanksgiving would be complete without Kev and Liz's annual Wrestling match. Last year Liz solidly kicked Kevin's behind. Sadly, this year since they are married, I do believe Kev took the gloves off, and well... you can see what happened..

Don't worry Liz, there is always next year!!!! (and the next 50 as well!) I just love how Kev is posing whilst he kicks her bottom. Another sad sign that we are infact related...

We had a lovely thanksgiving dinner together. I even cooked a casserole. I know, me cooking, craziness!!!

But the most exciting thing was what grams brought!!

APPLE CHIPS!!!

I LOVER HER APPLE CHIPS!!

Mom, Liz and I went into the great mecca of Rensselaer and went shopping. No deals at Walmart but I got TONS of stuff at Walgreens! For some reason they had foundation over half off and my hair product 2.00 off! So of course I stocked up! Walgreens how I love thee!! no pictures of us shopping but here is Me and my Mom, my twinkie!! And me and my SIL Liz before heading off. Edge, you will notice I am wearing the sweater you gave me. I LOVE IT!!!

And last but certainly not least! I was able to meet up with two friends from out of state Sunday, Melissa and Emily. We had lunch at texas roadhouse and had SO MUCH FUN! Even though boys were there!!! :)

I wish life was this fun everyday!!!
JESUS IS COOL!!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
