I might have found the man of my dreams....

I went to my first full Physical Therapy apt last night for my ankle. I had knee surgery and did therapy for it back in 2002, and I was expecting it to be a very painful experience, where I grunt, yell and assault my therapist.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was nothing like what I had expected! In fact, it was one of the most relaxing things I have done in awhile! Generally i HATE people touching my feet. I am tickilish, and they are always cold no matter what time of year it is.. But I didn't mind him! It was basically a 30 min foot massage. Oh man. Did it ever feel good!! he started by massaging my bone and limbering it up. After that I did some exercises, and he got on the floor and held onto my bone and helped it move as I worked, essentially re-training it how to move properly. That made a HUGE difference in my leg squats. This past week they have been so painful, I have tears in my eyes by the time I finish them. Not this time! It felt FABULOUS!!!

And the best news of all was that after I told him specifically where and what my pain was and he played with the bone, he was able to see where exactly we needed to work on it, and he said I should start feeling relief quickly and should regain my mobility very soon. THANK YOU JESUS!!! I am sooo tired of wearing my ankle brace everywhere I go and having pain while walking or doing activities. So I am super excited.

And I'm even more excited because I get to go back tonight and get massaged again:)

As long as we're talking about health, I might as well throw in my infectious disease update.

I still have it.

I am going back to the dr tonight for a THIRD, yes friends I said THIRD, round of antibiotics. I am getting better but it is not gone by any means and Katie, the sharer of this infectious disease, now has Bronchitis, so I am desperately trying to avoid that!

If I can just get my ankle back in shape and get rid of this infectious disease I will feel WONDERFUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLL!!!!! :)

JESUS IS COOL!!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
