Ohhhh wow..

Tonight was my first visit to an apt complex to find a new apt. Let's just say if the choice was to sleep under the wabash bridge in a box, or live at this place, I would definately be living under the bridge.

First of all, we get to the building of Condo's and it looks NOTHING like the advertisement. The buidling is old and "well used by the elements" Thats what Katie said at least. If it were up to me I'd say it looked like crap and I was ready to leave right then and then.

We wait forever and finally the guy comes and gets us, only to inform us that oh, these aren't the apts that are 650 for a 2 bedroom, oh no those are on another street. Even though when I talked to him on the phone he TOLD me it was these.

Fine, whatever. So we decide not to be rude and to go see the one bedrooms here which were 650.

We go up to the 6'th floor in an elevator that barely held the three of us, and go into an apt which is NASTY. There are no other words for it but NASTY ansd DIRTY and just GROSS! It had stains all over the carpet of various substances, the walls were dirty and nasty looking. Oh and lets not forget the balcony. The door, was covered.. in CARPET. Yes, thats right, I said CARPET. Seriously. I could not make this stuff up.. The balcony, which he insisted I go out upon, did I mention it was on the 6'th floor? I did, ok, well I thought I was going to plummet to my death. I didn't even want to get close to the railing as it looked like it could break at any moment. The floor of the balcony, was cement or something but it was all coming up and it was just.. NASTY...

Katie and I communicated through facial expressions while he was wondering around talking to himself. We were about to make a break for it when his cell rang and he decided to take the call in the other room. We furiously whispered to eachother about how we were going to get out of there gracefully. Alas it took another 10.. 10!!! minutes before we were free...

He insisted we go downstairs and look at the actual apt in the picture. Let me just tell you, that was NOT the apt in the picture. Those pictures were photoshopped and added stuff into it.. I wasn't too impressed.

We thought we were finally free when he tells us oh wait a minute I"m taking you to the party room. which was still decorated in 1970s. Seriously. (and I still can't believe i didn't take pictures of this whole fiasco!!)

FINALLY we escapped and ran to our freedom.Of course this was After he insulted me by saying that he thought I was looking for something "Too Upscale" Um. no. I just prefer there not to be stains of unknown substances and the apt isn't falling apart. Crazy, I know. I'm such a snob.

We got outside and were walking to our cars, when we both just started snickering. And then it turned into full blown laughter. I really couldn't believe the whole debacle had just happened. I kept asking her, DID THAT JUST HAPPEN??!! Oh it did honey, ohhh it did..

I've learned that life is never dull... Especially my life.. And add in my friends... Its a good time.. :)

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

45/52

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...
