7 Quick Takes

1. Everyday when I open the doors to the entrance for my building at work, I see my reflection in the glass, three reflections actually, and EVERY SINGLE DAY I wonder why there are so many people in the lobby at 7:45 am. EVERY DAY.

2. I got a totally awesome lavendar and white summer dress at Target tonight. On clearance, and with a gift card. SCORE!!

3. I had the best day at work today. We were all giggly and laughing.. I love Fridays!!

4. A Mormon Missionary tried to convert me while I was sitting at the fountain at lunch. After I told him I was a Christian and my soul was safe, he kept going. And going. And going. I was too polite to be mean so I just kept eating my jimmy johns pickle. best part- my co worker came out to sit with me and thought I had found a guy to flirt with. uh. yeah. sure.

5. I really do need to start writing down things for my blog. I have all these great ideas during the day and totally forget them by nighttime.

6. I'm reading a really good book. its called Healing Waters, Its a Women of Faith book I believe. Its really interesting.

7. I have 4 friends who are preggo and due with their babies this month!!!! Really excited about Chantelle, she doesn't know what she's having and the Dr isn't even sure when its coming! I am CERTAIN she is having a girl!!!!! Auntie Cherry!! I can't wait!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
