7 Quick Takes

1. So Excited that I now have 7!!! Followers!! Someone is actually reading what I write! Someday I may achieve my goal to be as awesome as kellyskornerblog.com and thepioneerwoman.com!

2. Burts Bees has a new flavor of lip balm- Passion Fruit. It is FANTASTIC! Perfect for when you want to be able to drink your fruit punch crystal light and not have it taste minty.

3. I can finally announce that Katie got a new job! Its going to be super fabulous and I am so proud and happy for her!! She will actually be working somewhere that a good friend of mine from college works, albeit at a different branch. They are going to get together while Katie is in her neck of the woods for training, and swap Cherry stories. This doesn't look good for me.

4. I am wearing the most festive blue skirt today, paired with a white tank and cardi. You will not be seeing a picture of this ensemble however, because at 8:17 i got the aforementioned crystal light on my cardi AND tank. And during lunch some of my veggie lasangna made it on the skirt. :( Crystal light needs to make clear drinks. Or maybe I should just wear a full body bib.

5. I cleared several people off of my facebook friends list whom I couldn't figure out who they were!! I'm sure I knew at one point, but I don't now. Sorry peoples.

6. I read the most HILARIOUS article in the Purdue Exponent this morning about an UNAUTHORIZED Horse being on campus at the fountain outside of our building. I laughed and laughed.. My side still hurts from laughing!!

7. Think I'm going to watch New In Town this weekend. I've heard its a cute movie and I love Harry Connick Jr. Hope Floats AND Will And Grace?! It just doesn't get better than that!

Happy Weekend Everyone!!! WOOT!!

We watched New in Town! I thought it was going to be really cute and funny, but overall all I thought it was fairly lame and terribly predictable. There were a few places where I laughed, but not as many as I thought there would be.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
