Don't die on me!!!

So I had a rough start to the weekend.

When I go home unless its bad weather the first place I stop is the farm so I can see my dog, Beastie. Well he is getting old and he is deaf, and apparently he is almost blind too but I didn’t know this.

So I pull my truck around to the back where he’s at and he’s laying half out of his dog house. I start talking to him and he’s not moving. Usually he gets up and dances around because he’s so excited to see me. But not this time.

So I get over to his pen and he FINALLY gets up after I coax him up and he doesn’t jump up on the fence to hug me and put his head on my shoulder like he usually does. In fact he hardly moves at all.

So I start to think that he is dying because he’s barely moving and I start BAWLING and BEGGING him not to die. It was NOT pretty. I stood there bawling for like five minutes petting him, hugging him and begging him not to die on me, and what does he do? He finally gets up, starts grinning and prances around!

I could have throttled him right then and there!!

I was glad he was ok but then I realized that I will have to deal with him passing, most likely sooner rather than later. And then I started crying all over again. :(

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
