I <3 Zofran

WOW! Who knew my thrilling medical tales would get me so many blog readers?!?!?! If I had known that I would have started blogging about my faulty stomach a long time ago! ;)

Well the latest is that I'm at my parents, being taken care of by my Mom. I just ate my first meal since Sunday (when I left my parents to go back to town to try and go to work) and so far its staying down. You really wanted to know that I know!

Mom came to L-town and took me to my Dr this morning. As you've probably guessed I didn't make it to work on Monday or Today, which makes me feel horrible, and guilty and I know I'm missing alot, but right now its just not feasible with how I feel.

So Mom came and took me to the Dr today, still in pain and nauseous and now feeling pretty woozy and lightheaded from the lack of eating. FWIW I've lost 6 pounds since Friday! WOOT!!

My Dr couldn't tell me alot, he wants me to see my GI Specialist, but he did change my pain med to a different one, and from what I can tell its helping ALOT more than the other one was. He also gave me more Zofran, but my stupid insurance only lets you fill 12 pills at a time?! Not sure whats up with that when you're taking one every 4 hours! Stupid Insurance.

By the grace of God and God alone I was able to get in to see my GI Specialist tomorrow. He is out of Indianapolis, but he comes to a town about 30 mins away from L-town on Weds. I called in and practically begged on the phone to his nurse, she called him and asked if she could squeeze me in and he said she could. I swear when she called me back to let me know I could come in I practically started crying when I was thanking her. I was so relieved.

SO we really didn't learn much today, hopefully we will learn more tomorrow. I think I am on the up swing from this whole flare up/attack, i feel better than I did but I still don't feel good. If that makes sense..

Mom was trying to encourage me today talking about seeing God's hand in things and how he always has a plan and I can totally see his plan nowe on my moving. If I hadn't renewed my lease I would be moving this week and that would be impossible. Its funny I was so upset when I couldn't find anything that fit into my budget that I liked. Now I know why. You can't always see his plan, but he has one. I am so thankful to be held in God's hands!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
