7 Quick Takes

1. I am currently sitting in the overstuffed chair in my parents new living room, with my whole family!! <3 Dad is asleep as usual.

2. I had the most relaxing drive home seeing the Fall Scenery.. I love fall in Indiana!!!

3. I am feeling the urge to dye my hair again. I am noticing that I have two tone hair. I really want to go to a rich dark brown color.

4. I also need to cut and thin out my hair in a BAD BAD WAY. Although Caca loves it and wants me to grow it out... I wonder if I can cut it without her noticing?

5. My bro has been at Purdue recruiting this week, and today he walked by my office on his way to a business lunch. I about fell off my chair in shock! It was really cool though to be at work in my building and see my family!!

6. On Fridays there is a Chinese Womens bible study that meets for two+ hours in our foyer. I think its so cool that they get together and have it in public and aren't ashamed of their faith. I wish I knew chinese so I could listen in!

7. Speaking of Women's Bible Study, I am so happy that mine started up again! It is such a blessing to be able to go fellowship with other women believers. No matter what kind of day I have had or what has went on. Going to Bible Study just helps put everything in perspective.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
