7 Quick Takes

1. I have created a new word that stands for everything I can't remember the word to. Its called "du fee du" and I am happy to say that April has started using it as well! We speak in a different language!

2. I have started trying to plan my birthday weekend. I have small group the night before my birthday, but my birthday is on a Saturday this year, YAYS, so I have the whole day to do what I want!! Still kind of bummed that I won't be with Kim, it will be the first year in dang, 5? years that we haven't spent my birthday together! :(

3. Someone hit my truck in our parknig lot yesterday, it was THAT icy. Thankfully they had a small car and didn't do any damage to my vehicle.

4. I fixed my vaccum last night. I was so proud of myself! And so happy I could clean my floor!

5. Especially since I have started doing yoga. You get a great look at your floor when you're in a downward dog. And for the record, I actually LIKE yoga!! WHAT!!

6. I also fixed my direct tv/dvd player problem. Well, with help from Direct Tv, and my TV's company. I also kindof embarassed myself with my ditziness with the latter. whoops. At least he got a good laugh!!

7. My hair is officially long enough for a pony tail! I whip it into one each night when I come home. I think I should probably buy some ponytail holders since i only have one..

My car has been hit 2x in the last two months while parked. But they did damage, and neither time did they leave contact info. Glad you got your tv fixed.. that had to be annoying. You totally have to get more hairbands. I have about 100 of them and they are everywhere all over my house. ;) Make sure you get the ones without metal. :)

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
