I just have to share a few gems from Small Group last Friday night. Those 4 kids keep me on my toes! And I have to say when I left, I was re thinking my idea of having 4 kids! ha!!
To start it off, I have a Miss Charity bag, a babysitting bag I take with me to small group that has some special things in it that the kids like to play with. We're down in a half finished basement where the owners keep toys, but I have a few special treats in my bag. Well, this past friday was the first of me leaving straight from work to go to Small Group, so I knew that I needed to take my Miss Charity bag with me when I left. I purposely put it by my shoes, below my bakers rack, where I keep my shoes and my purse and keys.
Smart one that I am, somehow I left without it and didn't realize that untill I got to Small Group. We went downstairs to play and Kaiah asked me where my Miss Charity bag was (she's currently working on a two page project in the Princess Coloring book) so I had to tell her that I was sorry but I accidentally forgot it at home. She then wanted to know, being a curious 6 year old that has to know all of the details, HOW I left it at home!
I explained to her that I came from work and had forgotten to take it with me there so it was at home. So she says to me, "But Miss Charity!!! You have to remember! You're supposed to check your hands and see what you have when you leave your house!! Cuz you might forget something Important! SO you have to check! You should have checked! You Have to be RESPONSIBLE!!"
The look on my face at that moment had to have been priceless.. She was SO SERIOUS about how I needed to check myself when leaving and how I had to be responsible. Oh man.. I about died..
SO after getting in trouble :) the final child to our group arrived and I was telling her how much I liked her pink sparkly headband, and I said, well I think I should get one! And she said to me, Noooo.. Your head's too big!! I said WHAT!!!! to which Kaiah ever so sweetly replied, yeah, your head is pretty big miss charity.
gee..
thanks..
so apparently I have a huge head, but yet can't remember things inside of it??
Kaiah did redeem herself greatly about 5 mins after that.
I was complimenting her on her pink shirt, and she told me that not last wednesday but the week before she work Pink, Because it was Pink Weds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I about hugged the life out of her!!!!!!!!!!! MOLDING YOUNG MINDS PEOPLE!! ONE 6 YR OLD AT A TIME!!!!!!!!!!
