7 quick takes

There may only be 40 mins left in this Friday but I'm here!!

1. I always sit on the left side of the couch and curl up on my side. Being the odd child I am I have to put a small pillow between my knees because the feeling of kneecap on kneecap freaks me out!

2. Having a 6 year old (and three other kids) lay on your legs while you lay on your stomach and lift them up with your legs is quite a good leg workout. Especially when each child gets 4 turns. My calves may never be the same.

3. My friends The Whipples are having an adoption benefit for baby boy #2 at Monkey Joe's next Friday night (if you're in L-town you should come!) after seeing the pics on their blog, I informed Katie we're going and taking her kids. I *really* want to go down the big slid. *really*

4. And no I'm not sure why that whole point was underlined. I struggle.

5. Have I told you that I'm wearing all black to church on Sunday? I have a severe dislike for Valentines day (although I won't turn down a present!) and every year I wear black. Except for one year that my co workers made me wear pink. :(

6. Have I also mentioned how OVER snow I am? Because I am. If anyone is curious.

7. I was kind of crabby this afternoon. And I think I kind of still am! boo.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

The Bible Recap Day 45- Leviticus 5-7 (Year Three Podcast)

Welcome back to Leviticus Friends! Today we are in chapters 5-7 and I'll admit on the first pass through of it, while listening to it on my Bible app and reading along, I didn't make a ton of notes. But when I listened to the pod things made more sense, and I got a lot more from it. Which is why I highly reccomend listening to the pod after doing your reading. TL breaks it down and shares historical and meanings of things that those of us not steeped in our Hebrew, might not know.  Things I found interesting: She mentioned that God is the only one who has spoken so far in Leviticus. Tomorrow we get a switchup with Moses and Aaron but so far the first 7 chapters have all been God talking! We talk about blood some more, and she again makes the note that it is a reminder of the fall and that God is working on rebuilding Eden. She also notes that blood is given back to God because God is the giver and taker of life.  A question I had, when we were in 5:11, talking about the rich a...
