7 quick takes

1. I am SUPER SUPER SUPER Excited for our PCC girls reunion dinner tomorrow night! Several of my pcc girls are meeting up with me and Emily for dinner, I can't wait!!

2. And to add to that I totally bought a new outfit to wear! I went to fashion bug looking for a top, found one on clearance and decided to look for some leggings as well (my SIL ROCKS THEM so I wanted a pair!) they were super cheapo so I was able to get a whole outfit with accessories for less than the regular price of the shirt! I love clearances!!!

3. Speaking of shopping, Apes and I traded coupons today at work, and I got a 10.00 off at Kohls. I got a nice pair of jeans, fancy ones, originally 45 bucks for guess what... 7 dollars!! WOOT!! Now that I have two nice pairs of jeans I can finally throw away the jeans i've had since my Kelly Days... They have seen better days!! YEARS AGO!!

4. I cannot tell you how much better I feel after having surgery Weds! I have a whole post I'll do about it, but it went fabulous and God's hand was so in the entire thing it was awesome!!

5. We are having a beautiful night here in L-town it has rained and is 60 degrees and a little windy. I have my door open listening to the breeze, i love rainy nights!!

6. I bought some Bio Freeze, thanks to Sue Whips, and WHOA do I love it!! My neck was feeling tight at work, and I had just gotten it adjusted, so I rolled some of that on and it felt so much better. Within an hour I noticed my neck was nice and loose.. ahhhhh....

7. I have over 9 books on my coffee table and have started reading two of them. I need to just stick with one!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
