lil bit of this.. lil bit of that!

So the past few weeks have been CRAZY!! I've been so busy and sadly my laptop has been sick. It had to go to the hospital so I've been drive by blogging for the past two weeks. Thank goodness it is back and better than ever!!

While it was sickly I was able to get alot done at home! I have been spring cleaning and preparing for when I move this summer. I'm trying to get rid of stuff I don't need/want. I also read several books! Lisa Scottoline and Sophie Kinsella. I highly recommend both!!

Now that I've got the reading bug again I've actually been going out at lunchtime and reading in my vehicle. Ever since Spring Break its been nice and warm outside and being stuck inside at lunchtime is just not on my to do list. So I go outside, run an errand or two, and then park and read in my truck with my windows down. Its really relaxing.

I've also had at least one migraine a week No clue why. My neck has been out so bad, I have been at the Chiropractor hmm... 4 times in 3 weeks? I am blessed to have a wonderful chiro who works hard to squeeze me in for an emergency apt when I am having problems. So that hasn't been fun.

I haven't felt the best other than that and will be having surgery in a few weeks. No worries, its just a small surgical procedure and I will feel SO much better after its over. Untill then anti nausea meds are a close friend of mine.

While we're talking about my old lady body, you will be glad to know that my poor foot is healing!! I am finally able to wear shoes, THANK GOODNESS, (i thought i was going to have to buy more slippers) and today I went to work without it wrapped and it did fine. Its itching like crazy which is a good sign because that means its healing but man alive! Driving me nuts!!

Super excited about tomorrow, Fridays are fun days at work, and tomorrow night is our Good Friday Service at church and then after that I will be heading home to my parents! WOOT!!

I am really glad that we have a Good Friday service, it really does force me to just sit and concentrate on what this weekend is all about and it focuses my heart where it should be. (Hopefully I won't cry so much during it that my contacts get all weird driving home :) )

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

The Bible Recap Day 45- Leviticus 5-7 (Year Three Podcast)

Welcome back to Leviticus Friends! Today we are in chapters 5-7 and I'll admit on the first pass through of it, while listening to it on my Bible app and reading along, I didn't make a ton of notes. But when I listened to the pod things made more sense, and I got a lot more from it. Which is why I highly reccomend listening to the pod after doing your reading. TL breaks it down and shares historical and meanings of things that those of us not steeped in our Hebrew, might not know.  Things I found interesting: She mentioned that God is the only one who has spoken so far in Leviticus. Tomorrow we get a switchup with Moses and Aaron but so far the first 7 chapters have all been God talking! We talk about blood some more, and she again makes the note that it is a reminder of the fall and that God is working on rebuilding Eden. She also notes that blood is given back to God because God is the giver and taker of life.  A question I had, when we were in 5:11, talking about the rich a...
