Eat this, not slimy lettuce..

Well its finals week here and let me just tell you that I think I would rather be taking finals again as a student rather than being on the other side!! Today was day #2 and already I have graded more tests than I can count. I was trying to keep track but I finally gave up. Two more INTENSE days and then hopefully, oh I pray, it will calm down. Its just very hectic and everyone is stressing out, at least we haven't had anyone cry yet. Yet.

Last night I learned that even though your salad mix may still look green, if you have had it longer than a week and its a little bit slimy. Well. Its probably not the best idea to eat it. Take my word. I had an intense craving for a salad last night so I ate it and within a little bit I was like dude.. I don't feel so good... By the time Castle was over I REALLY didn't feel good. Thank goodness for anti nausea meds. I still only got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night. Woke up early this morning and still didn't feel good but I downed some more medicine and went on with life!! Thankfully I felt much improved by lunchtime and now i feel fine. I don't think I will be eating salad anytime soon though *gag*

What I will be drinking though is Carnation's Breakfast Blends. I just discovered these this week. Someone left some for us to try in the break room so I tried a Strawberry one and it was YUMMY! Today I tried French Vanilla and it was even yummier! So I tootled over to Payless tonight and got a package of assorted ones. I"m trying the Milk Chocolate tomorrow morning! :):):) I really like them, which is strange because I really don't like Milk that well, or at least I never have. Maybe my tastes are changing? They are pretty tasty and they are good for you! Very nutritional. And bonus, they really do fill me up untill lunch! Me likey!!

Tomorrow is Pink Weds! I hope you are prepared!!

Off to watch The Good Wife!! Love that show!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
