I suppose I should start with the fact that it's pretty sad that I have Danny Gokey labels for post and my computer remembers them. I don't think that's a good sign but I will blissfully ignore that for now!
I had a tragic incident happen to me last week. I was in a grumpy mood over lunch and decided to watch some Danny Gokey videos from AI on my ipod to cheer me up. I went to the video section and they were not there. They were not anywhere on my ipod.
Despite this horrifically tragic event I managed to stay calm and stay at work for the next 5 hours. Impressive, yes I know.
I came home and fired up itunes after I barely had made it through the door. The videos weren't there either.
This was quickly becoming an urgent situation.
I plugged in my flash drive with the copies of all my music on them, from when my computer started struggling a few months ago and vainly tried to pull up my old itunes libraries and find my videos.
No Bueno.
No videos either.
You would think that itunes would have them SOMEWHERE in my purchased area, but alas no. Nor are they still selling them on itunes store. (I have no clue why, Danny was head and shoulders above the people on this years show)
I know what you're thinking. Google. Youtube. My friend I am here to tell you that I tried both with no avail. No Danny on AI videos to be found. Well, I digress, there were some but I really don't have the desire to watch a video that someone shot of something playing on their tv. I'm not quite that desperate. yet. give me a few days.
Tonight I am mourning the loss of my AI videos on my ipod. I came home and was in a grumpy mood and then was struck with sadness that I didn't have my gokey to cheer me up.
There is a small bright spot to this story. As I was on FB tonight I discovered that people have uploaded videos to his page. Granted most of them are of the video taping your tv genre, but there was one, one sweet sweet AI performance. And it made me smile. And for a minute. or more like 2:32 my life was happy and sweet.
Sometimes... all you need is just a little Gokey to brighten your day.
