Stream of Consciousness

Really impressed that I actually spelled that word right! Well I figure if this is good enough for McMama then its good enough for me!

Had a good day today. Slept great last night in my home bed, and woke up before my alarm went off for church! Had a great praise and worship part at my parents church. they had an actual praise team leading it-mostly youth and they were really good. Usually I dread the music portion of it because they sing every verse to every song and its goes kind of slow but this was really good!!

The Pastors son is growing into a young man. I can remember when he was born. I used to keep him in the nursery. Now he is taller than me. and growing facial hair. that was depressing. Almost sent me to walmart for some anti wrinkle cream after that.

Came home and we had hamburgers on the grill, home grown thankyouverymuch! and potatoes and some pasta salad that i didn't eat. attempted to take a nap but didn't get a great one because my parents kept talking. i've been having weird dreams lately. really odd stuff.

i love my parents couch. i could live on it. i informed my mom if she ever got rid of it i was taking it no matter where i lived.

missing my cable and dvr. my parents don't get very many channels on their tv. i have read two books though!

didn't take pics after church of my family. i decided to give my dad a break. i did take pics of myself though!:) of course my cord is at my apt so you won't see those for a day or two.

its so nice and cool inside at my parents. its 91 degrees outside. must be "cooling off" it was 93 a little bit ago.

I think I missed the news. drat. I only get to see the news on the weekend since i work 9-6 i'm never home when the news is on! :(

the cottonwood trees here on the farm are making it look like its snowing outside. Yesterday i had to run the sweeper for mom all over downstairs because cottonwood was attached to her and dad after being outside and sweating and painting and it was tracked inside. i don't know how mom keeps this house so clean. its over 3,000 sq ft (half or more of which my dad built and added on himself. yeah he's super smart) and i was tired after running the sweeper all downstairs.

mom has now scared me twice since i've been home. revenge will be on the horizon. she scared me this morning when i was eating my cereal and i almost choked trying to scream. Dad asked me what my problem was.. if he only knew!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
