7 Quick Takes

1. When you read this I will be hours away from leaving for Michigan to see Apes get married! I am so excited for her!! I can't wait to see her walk down the aisle I am going to cry!!

2. Last night I was fb chatting with Caca, and we were talking about taking our own road trip and I told her that she could drive and I would be in charge of the music. That was met with her yelling NOOOOOOO!! Followed by NO NSYNC!!!! I asked her if that meant my friends the Jonas Brothers wouldn't be invited to come with us as well? She's not too friendly with the boy bands. Gotta work on that!!

3. I am the master of mix cd's. They are so eclectic its kind of hilarious. you really have no clue what is going to come next!

4. Can I just say how stinkin excited I am that Danny Gokey's videos are on CMT? I'm listening to one right now!! I <3 Gokey. So much that my office mates know and brought me a magazine article he was in so I could read it :) My Danny Gokey background on our test computer must have tipped them off? :)

5. I'm quite looking forward to swimming in the hotel pool tonight, followed by hanging out with Apes and Katie in our hotel room eating Pizza!!!

6. Around 7:30 every night I suddenly get weirdly congested and keep clearing my throat. Its really weird. Maybe I am allergic to 7:30 pm????

7. I have exciting news about a new project at church that I am involved in!! Or rather my involvement is new? Whatever its still really exciting!!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
