NC Vacation!! Time to say Goodbye :(

Sadly Monday morning came before we were ready for it and it was time to head to the airport and go back home to Indiana. But before I left I made sure to get a picture with The Lady. This is a famous picture that Caca did while at PCC. She was like our 9'th roommate! It was so cool to see her framed and hanging up at Caca's house!! And yes I look like I have pj's on in this pic. I do not. that was my travelling outfit. Clearly I did not care!
Us headed for the airport. Clearly I did not bother with hardly any makeup that day either!!

I love plane pics!! I didn't have my camera out on the first flight or I could have gotten some seriously cool cloud pics. Its so neat to be flying between and above the clouds. Wild. I love it!

Me riding down the extremely tall escalator. I was distracting myself so I wouldn't look down and fall over. I hate heights!

Bless her Heart here is Emboz (and Madi!) 9 mos preggo and she comes to pick me from the airport. And not only does she pick me up but she has a SMILE on her face dangit!! Love her!! What a good friend!!

And of course, the trip ended just as it began. With a truck picture. Only this one was done by individuals who have some SERIOUS hardcore self portrait skills. I had to laugh when I was going to take the pic and Emboz took it from my hands and said here let me do it, so your big cantalope head doesn't look any bigger. Some people would be insulted by this. Not me! I was touched that she cared that I didn't look like a freak! And its true- she has skillz for taking our pics!!
I had SUCH a fabulous vacation! It exceeded my expectations! I have such a good time with Caca, we have fun whether we are out and about or just home hanging around the couch (i love her couch!) Its amazing to think that we have been friends for 8 years now! She is definately a friend that will last a lifetime!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
