Open Table Night!

This Thursday was our Monthly Open Table night at church for us ladies! I was thrilled to go and spend some time with my friends! I had such a good time chatting with Bryna, who refused to have her picture taken so please just conjure up an image of her in your mind :)
My craft this month was working on the flowers to hang from the ceiling in our office. I bought 4 bunches of Iris' and cut them apart so I had single flowers. Then I tied sparkly silver string on them and put a fancy hook on the end that I fashioned out of paper clips.
I learned that it is not a smart idea to just lay them on the ground with the hooks and strings. Instead what I SHOULD have done, is hooked them when I got to the office. Oh yeah and I should have wrapped the string around each flower. You can imagine what happened. Thank goodness for Bryna and her friends untangling skillz!

The other table. We actually had a full table! YEAH! It was awesome to have almost 10 of us there!!

Bergs and the Valster. Two Godly ladies whom I love and look up to greatly.

And that goes ditto for Sheryl! She kicked off our bible study by teaching Weds night. Look for the post on that coming soon. I love her because she is so REAL. And freely shares her heart and her struggles and what God is teaching her.

The Valster for a Cricut for Christmas (man I hope I spelled that right otherwise Bergs and the rest of the crew are going to be ALL over me!!) and Bergs was giving her a tutorial on its awesomeness..

I think this is hilarious. Here is Karen, my partner in crime. not crafting, nope, TEXTING!! In fact, I bet she was on facebook!! hahahah
This only proves I have no shame. So I got my hair cut and she cut it a tad too short, but thats ok. But she gave me these awkward bangs that make me look like MARGE SIMPSON!! not.a.fan. Thankfully I was able to do them curly today and I look like my normal self. Last night was struggling though.... At least Bergs looks cute!!

And the fruits of my crafting labor! Its now SPRING in 2144!! Iris' are popping up... Or below?

Who cares what the terminology is, they look CUTE!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

The Bible Recap Day 45- Leviticus 5-7 (Year Three Podcast)

Welcome back to Leviticus Friends! Today we are in chapters 5-7 and I'll admit on the first pass through of it, while listening to it on my Bible app and reading along, I didn't make a ton of notes. But when I listened to the pod things made more sense, and I got a lot more from it. Which is why I highly reccomend listening to the pod after doing your reading. TL breaks it down and shares historical and meanings of things that those of us not steeped in our Hebrew, might not know.  Things I found interesting: She mentioned that God is the only one who has spoken so far in Leviticus. Tomorrow we get a switchup with Moses and Aaron but so far the first 7 chapters have all been God talking! We talk about blood some more, and she again makes the note that it is a reminder of the fall and that God is working on rebuilding Eden. She also notes that blood is given back to God because God is the giver and taker of life.  A question I had, when we were in 5:11, talking about the rich a...
