Charity's Birthday Dinner Party BONANZA!!

Saturday night I headed back to Lafayette for the Previously Planned Charity's Birthday Dinner Party Bonanza at Olive Garden! OG is a birthday tradition that I've held for the past ten years I think. yikes. ever since college I've always went to OG for my Birthday and this year was no exception! We had a fun group of people and I really appreciated them coming out to spend time with me celebrating my birthday!!
This is the reaction I get when I get out my camera.
Apes and Steven Weaven! Who btw made me a FABULOUS Chocolate Raspberry Cake. OH.MY.GOODNESS was it GOOD!!!

Stimpy and his quite delightful gf Kendra! It was my first time meeting her and I can see why he loves her! They were so cute together!

The Bergs!! Jessica and her hubs Mikel. I just LOVE those two!! And I love that he wore a tie to my dinner! That made me smile. You can count on a Baptist to show up in a tie for a dress up event, can I get an AMEN??!!!

Me and Bergs, take one!! Pictures should really not be taken when I'm cracking up laughing because slightly resemble a disturbed looking hyena. With chipmunk cheeks. Not so cute people, not so cute.

Take two at me looking less like a disturbed hyena and Bergs doing her best Austin Powers impression. I love my friends. I really do!!

It took four pictures to get this one with me and Dr Avery. Sadly this is the best we got. *smh*

Me with my cute sparkly zebra present that Bergs made me! She's so crafty!

And she knows me oh so well!! A very festive pink flower necklace to wear on Pink Weds! YAYS! Thanks Bergs!!
I had so much fun with my friends, despite our hour wait for a table! Olive Garden I'll see you again next birthday! When I turn 29 for the SECOND time! ;)

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
