Mid Week Confessions

I may or may not do my laundry on the weekend and then wait to put it away for days. To the point where If I want to wear something that's in the dryer, I just pull out the item of clothing I wish to wear and leave the rest of the clothes in the dryer. This may or may not have happened two days in a row now.

While I'm being honest I might as well admit that the past two weeks I have left the laundry in the dryer for a week, not just days, a WEEK until it's time to do laundry again. Right now I'm on track to do this three weeks in a row.

I'm currently driving around town looking like a gangsta lunatic. My driver's side seat in my truck broke, and will not sit up. Which means it's stuck in the reclining position. Kinda uncomfortable with the back I must say. I look like a Granny driving since I'm trying to sit up so straight I'm practically on top of the steering wheel.

I was straight up butterflies in tummy nervous about meeting my new Piano Student Monday night. I felt like I was on a Blind Piano Teaching Date! Thankfully she was adorable and put me totally at ease and the hour flew by. Moments like this make me wonder how I think I'm going to have a full Piano Studio some day. That is A LOT of First Blind Piano Dates!

Tuesday was our Preferred Partners day at work, and I may or may not have gotten TWO Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen, one for me and one for my co worker, and then went back to my office and sent my co worker down to get two more. We were honest though! We were getting them for our co workers.

I used to give piano lessons and always felt the same way. I always forgot that the student was probably WAY MORE nervous...

Wow to have my own studio... that would be a dream come true! Hope that happens for you!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
