Mid Week Confessions

I am completely entertained and mesmerized by a 5 minute video of my Nephew Benjamin picking up blocks. I love seeing him in action and his little funny personality, and yes, I can't help it, I laugh when he falls. He walks like a drunken little man!

On the same vein, all of his pictures are my screensaver on my laptop, and sometimes, while reading or even watching tv, I will get distracted looking at all of his pictures popping up on the screensaver. I can't believe how much he has grown in 14 short months! I'm going to be such a sappy Mom!

Emboz and I had lunch at O'Charley's this month and got a less than stellar waitress. To the point where she was sitting at the both behind us chatting with some random person. I may or may not have had Emboz tap her on the shoulder so we could get our drinks refilled and get more rolls.

I love Makeup. Well let me clarify. I love makeup if I can put all of it on in 5 minutes or less. High Maintenance I am not. Maybe I love the idea of makeup? Whether I love makeup or the idea of it, I still have no clue how to put it on properly. (Note:this could have something to do with the five minute or less rule. ) I read magazines showing how to do some fancy trick with makeup or see a picture of someone's makeup that I like, but yet I lack the ability to put it on properly.

My dear friend Katie Marie is throwing me a 30'th Birthday Party! To which I am UBER excited about! I may or may not have asked her If I could have candles on my cake. I can't remember the last time I had candles on a cake and I just think it sounds so FUN! Just my luck I will catch some part of my person on fire.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
