Roomies

My Deployment Roommates have arrived!! Caca and Milo got here Saturday morning and we have been having a fun time of getting adjusted and the both of them moved in and situated! Caca drove thru the night Friday night so by after dinner Saturday she was toast! They napped while I watched the Real Housewives and read. It was a good evening!

Sunday morning we went to church and it was so nice to have someone to go to church with!!!! Made my heart happy! We snapped some truck pics after the service! We are pros I tell you! Many many years of these pictures!
After Church we ran to Walmart, Thankfully we were there early enough that we managed to avoid all of the Purdue students getting their move in essentials. We stocked up on what we needed and I was strong and avoided to clothes dept. Go me!

After Walmart we took our groceries home and then went to Chili's for lunch! Where we had basically the worst server ever. He got our drinks and then we didn't see him for another 15 minutes. I don't know where he was but anytime we needed something he was never there. I was kind of annoyed. I had to ask the busboy to get me a refill of my Coke and bring me more napkins. (Yes I dropped Queso on my dress.)

Despite the servers utter lack of serving we did have good food and left with full bellies. I attempted to nap this afternoon while Caca took Milo to the Dog House for a bath but I couldn't fall asleep so I've been relaxing on the couch all afternoon. I can feel Fall weather coming in! It's cooler outside and just beautiful! I'm excited for fall and all it has to offer!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. That night I gave my life to Christ and knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was his, and going to Heaven. In the years that followed I continued to be very active in church. I played the Piano and was in charge of Sunday night offertory, I was t...

The Bible Recap Day 45- Leviticus 5-7 (Year Three Podcast)

Welcome back to Leviticus Friends! Today we are in chapters 5-7 and I'll admit on the first pass through of it, while listening to it on my Bible app and reading along, I didn't make a ton of notes. But when I listened to the pod things made more sense, and I got a lot more from it. Which is why I highly reccomend listening to the pod after doing your reading. TL breaks it down and shares historical and meanings of things that those of us not steeped in our Hebrew, might not know.  Things I found interesting: She mentioned that God is the only one who has spoken so far in Leviticus. Tomorrow we get a switchup with Moses and Aaron but so far the first 7 chapters have all been God talking! We talk about blood some more, and she again makes the note that it is a reminder of the fall and that God is working on rebuilding Eden. She also notes that blood is given back to God because God is the giver and taker of life.  A question I had, when we were in 5:11, talking about the rich a...
