Field Trip!!

I was homeschooled as you all know and never went on a field trip. So today was my first and I have to say the MOST AWESOMEST FIELD TRIP EVER!!!!!!!!!! We took two students and made our way down to Indy! Miss Amber drove and did a fabulous job! I would be remiss not to mention that (what looked to be a 12 year old) a young man tried racing us in his camero and we totally smoked him. We may or may not have waved as we passed him. I can neither confirm or deny. We had so much fun riding together I think we could have just drove down there and back and been happy as clams.
Any field trip that involves going to the Cheesecake Factory is a good one in my book!
I FINALLY got to go to a Sephora instead of online shopping! AMEN AND AMEN! I LOVED it!!!!! And one of the ladies there complimented me on my eye shadow. I was quite pleased to tell her it was Sephora!

I'm rather amused on how I have turned into this girl now that actually pays attention to her makeup and is *trying* to make her hair look decent. (it's a fight i've been battling for 30 years now so no one get too excited about that!)

Some things about me will never change though. I still do not like to spend very much time getting ready. Let's face it. I would rather sleep in an extra 20 minutes than waste that time putting on makeup! So while I may be using more makeup and trying to apply it expertly, I'm still doing it with my speed!

All in all a super fabulous fun day! I don't normally work on Fridays but I'm glad I did today!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
