So I am alive

Some of you may have been beginning to wonder.

For the past two weeks I have had the worst sinus and ear infection I have had in my 2 years post surgery. I have been MISERABLE. And exhausted. So blogging hasn't been anywhere on my to do list, but now that I'm slowly getting better hopefully I will write more!

I had to go to the ENT today for my year check up, and he wanted to see me since i'd been so sick. I fully expected to be there all afternoon but to my shock i was in and out in 20 mins. And that was with him actually talking to me for several minutes! I'm still in disbelief over that.

So he told me some things to do, and hopefully they will help. One of my Piano Moms is very knowledgeable about holistic health. She's actually studying it right now. So she is hooking me up with some vitamins and supplements. Very cool! She gave me some emergen-c to try. It's a drink mix. I haven't tested it yet, I'm planning on doing that tonight. And at her son's next lesson she's bringing a super supplement which I'm pretty excited about. I can't remember what it's called though! Whoops! So I'm excited to try that, after I run it by my Dr just to be safe. Hopefully that will help with all of my bugs I get from my students!

In other news, spring has finally sprung and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping outside my window every morning, which is actually pleasant to listen to! It's warmed up enough that I have turned my heat off and have the windows open. Ahhh. FRESH AIR!!!

I got my little patio chairs out last friday and cleaned them and set them out so I could start going outside and getting a tan while enjoying the weather. Of course I looked at the today and somehow they are dirty now. Rats! I may have to look into some cushions. I would really like a porch swing for my patio. I LOVE porch swings!!!!

And now it's time for me to teach!! Ciao!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
