End of Month Phone Dump

Time to post the random pictures hanging around my phone before it's a new month! I like this one of Em and the Mads at our most recent lunch date. Just perusing the menu...
Madi spent most of the lunch date under the table/booth. I looked down and saw Em's foot and a tiny foot next to hers. I laughed.
I've had some frozen fruit and have been experimenting with different smoothies. This one was a blueberry, grape, and raspberry sorbet smoothie. Pretty tasty! Not to be drank around people though as the berry skins stick to your teeth! awkward.
I went to the library for one book. Came back with 11.
Purdue is apparently ranked #4 on the top 10 colleges to meet singles guys. It made me laugh. alot.
 Pretty stormy sky one afternoon.
SO many things are wrong with this picture...
My attempt at Apple Cinnamon bread was a success! It tasted toooooooo goood. I want some now. :(
Got a FABULOUS new fall haircut from Jda and suddenly my hair started behaving again. Amazing how that happens!

I take alot of pictures in front of my door because 1. I'm always waiting on students and 2. the light makes my eyes stand out and 3. you can't see my dark circles.
My snazzy new watch courtesy of Target!
Contrary to this picture my legs are not the size of tree trunks. It's a little hard to not look like you are taking a picture of your boots  on the first church service where it's cool enough to wear boots and not look like an idiot.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
