Book Review- Without Warning by Lynette Eason

Without Warning

This book is book 2 in a new Series that Lynette  Eason is writing, called Elite Guardians. The cool thing about this book is that it is about a female bodyguard! Not something you read about, or even heard about often! I thought that was really cool!

I have read some other books by Ms. Eason and she always writes with a mixture of romance and mystery/excitement. This is not a book you want to read late at night, unless you have the time to finish it!  (If you’re not a wimp like me, then by all means, go ahead :))

I like that her writing is really easy to follow. The conversations between characters are much like a conversation between two people in the real world. It’s just very easy to read and understand!

This is random, but I loved that in the book when characters text, it had a part of the page that actually looked like a text block. Some writers just have texts throw in, in the regular writing, and I loved that she had it look more like an actual text. It just made more sense to me!

All in all I enjoyed this book and I am excited to read the next!

Thanks Revell for providing this book for me, in exchange for an honest review!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
