Monday started off my FAVORITE Week of the year!! Christmas Party in Your Lesson Week!  Yes, I know it's a snazzy name, try not to be jealous. Each student plays their favorite songs they have learned this year, I give their gifts to them and their boxes of treats. This year the treats were PB Fudge, Chocolate Oreos covered in chocolate and sprinkles. Golden Oreos covered in Vanilla Bark and Sprinkles, Sugar Cookies with Peppermint frosting, And cupcakes, and mini cupcakes with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Icing!

And a Teacher in Reindeer Antlers. Because WHY NOT!!

Wednesday morning was a busy one for my first weds without bible study. First I headed off to my Allergists Office for my 6 month check up. All was well and I was in and out quickly!

After that I had a special super secret mission! Which Is no longer a secret, hence why I'm posting about it!

After our recital a few weeks ago a Piano Mom contacted me about wanting to purchase a piano for her daughter. I had been thinking she had outgrown her keyboard so I was really excited! I am always willing to go with students/parents to check out pianos when they are looking at purchasing one.  Well, long story short, I found this Piano on facebook, and set up a time to go see it. Since the mom didn't know much about pianos I got to go and figure out if it was purchase worthy or not! I was way more excited about this than I should have been. hahaha. I don't know what it is, but getting to literally get my hands and fingers on a new to me piano is fun! You never know what it will feel like or sound like. Oh it just gets my heart beating quickly! HA!
It was a Thumbs up from Miss Charity!! And thanks to the one key that needed fixed I talked them down on the price. #IWasSoProudOfMyself

Also, I feel I should say that the Piano was in a storage room and the lady left me there by myself to play it and check it out. No way I would have taken these pictures if there had been someone watching me!!!!!
That afternoon I put my NSYNC Christmas station on and one of my favorite songs was playing!!

I was looking extra fancy for lessons on Thursday. When really I was just looking for something long enough to wear with my leggings and bootie slippers. #Cozy
One of my students gave me a Music Scarf!! It is sooo pretty!! I had to try and play the song that is written on it. Well it was a little hard to read :) but i got the jist of the melody.

And what do you know, it's Sunday again! I went to Church, and then went to Target and wandered around there for way too long. Now it's Sunday afternoon and I need to clean my house but instead of that I am blogging!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
