Sliding in on a little recap of last week.

On Monday I was feeling tired by mid afternoon and still had several students to go. So I had a cherry coke and revelled in the knowledge that I had the next two days off and could have caffeine in the middle of the afternoon and not have to worry about when I fell asleep!

I have ZERO pictures from the 4'th of July because I spent them in comfy clothes inside in the air conditioning! It was the first two consecutive days I have had off with no plans, nowhere to be, and no one to wait on to arrive at my home. And it. was. GLORIOUS.  My days are very scheduled, I keep one eye on the piano and one eye on the clock during each lesson, not to mention waiting on people to show up, and making sure they leave on time. So to not have to look at a clock or have to wait on anyone or go anywhere was wonderful! It surprises some people, but I really am an introvert. I will be chatty and friendly when I'm with people, but I really need quiet time alone to recharge. Maybe it's a sign of my old age, but two days off with no plans was amazing.

Thursday I was back to teaching and sporting one more patriotic outfit and some straight hair!

I had a moment of brilliance while teaching one of my beginner students, and made a "box" for their right hand to go at middle c. It made it so much easier for them to figure out where their hand went after moving it around. I have since laminated the "box" and used it on some other beginner students with success! WHOO HOO!

Friday I woke up and my back was killing me, But thankfully I had another free massage scheduled for that afternoon! My masseuse worked me over and I was in much better shape when I left.
I went straight to the library with my post massage straight hair pulled back sloppily, to pick up some books on hold and turn in my first sheet for the summer reading program. 140 hours- DONE! Onward to my next goal! I have until the end of July and I'm really trying to crack 200 hours this year.
Sunday it was Team Two's Turn to work Guest Services, so I was up early sporting my ever so attractive orange shirt. Not pictured is the delicious life giving Dunkin Donuts Frozen Mocha Coffee that helped me to be an effective or at least an awake leader. Probably just the latter, but hey!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
