5/52

Well once again here we are backwards,  and I somehow forgot to take any pics after Weds. Whoops!

Here's a look at week 5 in reverse!

Weds was a busy day, we were about to head Into some really cold weather, so I hurried to run some errands before teaching and get what I needed to stay home and not have to go outside until it warms up! My pony was really tall that day. Pics didn't quite capture the height of that bad boy.
I decided to get an end table out of my shed (this was made for my parents for their wedding present!) And test out having it on the other side of my couch. So far I think I like it! I grabbed this lamp when I was out at DG.
That morning I ran to Aldi for some groceries right after they opened. And while I was waiting socially distanced for my turn at a shelf I saw these adorable music valentines day socks! I had to buy them! They are kinda large but oh so cute!!
Tuesday was a first for me in the pandemic. I watched a livestream funeral. I know almost 60 people who have had Covid, and this is the first person I know who has died. He was only 30 and leaves behind a wife and 3 young children.
Monday marked the first day of February, and my birthday countdown!!
I have a newfound addiction to chick fil a's frosted coffee. Its soooo good!! Their chicken breakfast biscuits are also delightful!
Since I've had to go to the allergist so many times, I've been doing it in the morning after I shower, hence the fact I keep going to CFA for breakfast.
Copied up on the couch, I'm not sure what I was watching.
Birthday countdown is back!! And these new slippers are so cozy!
We got our first need to do snow removal snow, of the season on Sunday. I bounded out of bed to go use my snowblower! I don't know why I enjoy it so much but I do.
The only sad thing is that my neighbors to the right had already cleared off their sidewalk, but I beat my left side neighbor to it, so I got mine and his done!
The snow was really wet and heavy. I had to put some muscle into it, but I was still done with all of it in 15 minutes.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
