It's me, Charity

 At the beginning of the week I got the most exciting item in the mail! A letter from my Snugglemuffin! His first real letter he has sent me!! So sweet! I may have gotten a tear in my eye after seeing my name on the envelope in his sweet little handwriting.  I ordered a Titanic Piano book, and it got lost in the mail, and then surprised me by showing up weeks after ordering it. I had to sit down and have some practice time with it. I LOVE the movie Titanic and had this book back in HS. I actually played two of the songs in it for my senior Piano Recital! I've had a fun time rocking out on the piano this week!  Thursday was a really sad day. The last day of Summer Schedule. I.e. the last day of me getting done teaching before 8 pm. Sniffles. I had plans to celebrate and do something fun that afternoon but those plans fell through so I continued my cleaning and organizing that I started on earlier in the week.  Monday started off on a great note! My birthday package from my nephews arrived! I died laughing when I saw the shirt my SIL had got me! #ILoveThe90's  And I had to smile when I saw my card addressed to Auntie Chee. Lovemuffin can't pronounce my name, but he can say Chee! So that is who I am now!  My sweet snugglemuffin colored me a snoopy picture. LOVE!! I am going to frame this. Didn't he do a great job!  I also received pretty paintings from the boys. This one is on a shelf in the piano room.  And this one is on my gallery wall in the living room!  Later that night, wearing my new slippers they gave me, and eating leftover birthday ice cream cake. I finally ate enough that I could fit it into a smaller tupperware container. I'm not sure why DQ ice cream cakes have such a TALL lid??!  Well it's Mother's Day today so what better day to blog about my trip to meet my newest nephew and celebrate Easter! Brace yourself for a LOT of pictures. And these are just the ones from my camera. I have phone and tablet pics as well! It was a LONG drive, and I get giddy when I start seeing roads named after John Deere. JD country means we are close to my brother's!  Speaking of JD and my big bro, here I am going over the bridge with the building where he used to work right next to it!  And by right next to it i mean RIGHT next to it. If memory serves me correctly I got a tour of this building many moons ago.  No trip to Iowa is complete without a stop at the Happiest Place on earth. Whitey's Ice cream. I am thankful that my Dad shares my love of Whitey's and Ice Cream, otherwise I have a feeling he would not let me stop for it!
