7 Quick Takes

1. When you read this I'll be at work which will most likely turn into the longest day in the history of the world. bet on it. Pre Holiday weekend days are always dead and laborous.

2. I'm excited that Saturday I will get to see my dear friend Chantelle, and her little boy Ethan at his 2nd Birthday Party! Chantelle is a good friend of our family and was the MOH in K&L's wedding and I haven't been able to see her since so I'm very excited!!

3. And to add the the fun fabulous fourth I will get to meet in person, for the very first time after knowing eachother for over 8 years, the one, the only, JOY GEER!!! YEAH!!!!!! It will be a PCC Reunion and I am so excited to see her sweet face!!

4. I may die from a happiness overload this weekend. I just very well may.

5. I got this new makeup that I'm not sure if I love or not yet. Its Revlon's Colorstay Aqua and its quite interesting! Its a powder but when it comes in contact with your skin its cold and wet!! I was not expecting that and let's just say it woke me up very quickly!

6. I just got a new writing JOB! I was pretty excited! And a little nervous!

7. I don't think there is anything more fun than teaching music and seeing the kids eyes light up when they finally get it. So exciting!

Yep, I love when the girls do piano lessons and they have a lightbulb moment! It helps they have a pretty awesome teacher!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
