Stiches and a Concussion.. Not the Easter Weekend I'd planned on..

Well I did not exactly have the Easter weekend that I had planned  upon. Thursday I fell at work and hit my head on a metal bar. By the Grace of God my Daddy was in town and picked me up and took me to the Dr where I got stitches and found out I had a concussion.
And no I will not be sharing the story of how I fell, just yet. We are still in the stage of it not being funny whatsoever.
If you ever get injured I would not recommend hitting your head. Especially the back of it. Not being able to lay on it when you are trying to sleep, no bueno. I don't even know why I went to bed Thursday and Friday nights. I can finally put a little pressure on it, but still can't sleep on the back of my head.
Thankfully by Easter Sunday I was starting to feel better and was able to go to church which I was VERY happy about! I am still upset that I missed Good Friday Service, but I was in no shape to go anywhere.
I felt very color coordinated since my stitches were blue just like my dress!!
I convinced my parents to have pictures taken outside but didn't quite plan on the weird sun on our faces, so this is really the best I got.
I, of course, still get an Easter Basket. Filled mostly with hair supplies and bath and body stuff. I was happy!
So happy that we tried another picture in different scenery in the kitchen. Livin life on the wild side folks!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
