Ladies who Lunch- Em's belated Birthday!

Better late than never! Emboz and Madi and I finally had a much awaited Ladies who Lunch at O'Charleys a few weeks ago. I had been CRAVING and DYING for their chicken fingers. So, so SO YUMMY. And oh yeah, I missed Em and Madi as well :) Since Em's birthday was earlier in January we celebrated!

We count it as a win when 2 out of 3 of us are looking good. (especially when the 2 are the adults :) )

Funny story, she was slightly sad? for the first half of the lunch. possibly because her momma poked her n the eye.. Anyways, as we're sitting here eating and chatting, some random server guy came by, and was apparently feeling bad about her sad face, so he whipped out a DOLLAR BILL and told her she could have it if she would smile. Girl knows how to work it!

This is My Love Story

In the predawn hours of New Years Day 2004 I was faced with a choice. After spending New Year's Eve at a local bar with a friend, I came home and through the events that transpired, I saw clearly a vision of my future. What would happen to me if I continued on the path I had been taking. I had a choice to make and within a split second I knew what my answer was going to be. I grew up in a Christian home. I was saved at an early age. When I was 13/14 on my Birthday Sunday, Pastor Martin preached a sermon about those of us who had been saved at an early age and knowing if your salvation was real or not. I spent the rest of the day and my party tormented because I could not remember what was in my heart when I was younger. Blue Monday!

Today's Festive Blue Monday outfit! I wore my tried and true trouser jeans, a short sleeved beaded top I got on clearance at Macy's of all places for 6 bucks!! And my awesome new jeweled flats! Sooo comfy and cute! Since it was in the 60's today I was able to get away with this warmer weather outfit! Beading on the top, I love it! Shoes, so ugly they are cute!!

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo! My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable. My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size! Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!!
