Mother's Day weekend when I was home at the farm my Dad surprised my Mom, SIL and myself!! with roses! I twas so sweet and thoughtful of him to get me a rose to make me feel special!
We went from cold weather straight into the heat of summer. My hair was reeeaaallllyy curly, random little curls popping up everywhere.
Wednesday morning I got up early to go to Urgent Care as I had finished my antibiotics and I could tell that my ear infection wasn't gone. So I went to UC and the DR confirmed that and told me he thought my ear tube was coming out. AHA!   He gave me more antibiotics and I decided to try and call my ENT and see if he was in and could get me in anytime soon. Shockingly they were able to get me in Thursday morning!!
I went there straight up terrified. Getting Adult ear tubes was painful so I was anticipating it not feeling great coming out. Y'all I even brought a tiny stuffed animal so i could have a death grip on it to help me deal with the pain. Thankfully the tube was just laying in my ear canal, so that didn't hurt. I did have some issues that explained why I had got the infection, and he had to put silver nitrate in to take care of some blood vessels. It didn't hurt terrible, but it was a little uncomfortable. I did feel relief once that tube came out!
I asked my Dr if I could see my tube and he told me he would do me one better, I could keep it! HOT DIGGITY!!!
I was shocked at how tiny it was!
The next day Mom and I headed out to our favorite garage sales, and once again it was raining. Thankfully it wasn't the downpour that it was the year before but it was rather chilly.  I took this picture after our last house we hit and it was raining, hence my Mom's super thrilled look. HA!

We had a fun time and got some deals, and my ear drove me nuts draining about every 15 minutes. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and dealing with my annoying ear.

This week was rather lackluster, because I came down with a sickness on Monday and was down for the count Monday and Tuesday. I was super annoyed, because I had not taken a sick day since May and I was really trying to make it to 2019 without that happening! Boo!  My new coffee maker came in the mail, and it is so cute! It's like a miniature coffee maker, only makes 4 cups. It's adorable.  My nephew's 4'th Birthday present came as well. And I was a little concerned at the size of the box. Thankfully it wasn't as large as it appeared, but still a decent size!  Wednesday I rejoined life after being sick and ran out to get some free stix from Hotbox pizza and look what I saw!!!! A New DD is coming much closer to my house!! OH I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!  That afternoon I was working on getting all of my Christmas tubs brought inside from the shed, so I could decorate on the weekend. Then I had some cancellations and decided to start. I got the Piano room ...

Book Review: The Last Dance you Saved by LJ Evans

Buckle Up Buttercup, because Sadie Hatley is finally getting her story!!!! And it did not disappoint at all! The only thing I didn't like about this book is that it ended. I could have kept reading for 1000 more pages.  L.J. Evans is a Masterclass in how to write Romantic Suspense (that's not so scary you can't sleep at night) with witty banter, heroines who kick butt (figuratively and literally). Her books are full of real people with real problems. And I think that's one of the things I appreciate the most about her writing. Yes, her books are an escape for me, but they also show that whatever you're going through in life, everyone else is also going through something.  In the case of Sadie and Rafe alot of those issues they contained to themselves and kept the hurt and pain inside of them, in order to be strong for others and what they thought they needed to be. But L.J. shows us that not only is it okay to let people in, but the beauty and redemption that come...
