A dear friend's birthday is this week and I made this for her. She is huge into music, and after being out of the business for several years she is starting to teach voice lessons again! I saw this quote online and thought it was perfect. I decided to make her a sign and frame it so she would have some art work in her studio! You can't really tell in the picture but the frame I found is wood, and looks alot like that of a Piano. I was SO excited to find the perfect frame for it! Last week we had MASSIVE rains and some tornadoes. We were sheltered downstairs Monday afternoon for over an hour and a half. While we were sheltering we found out a tornado had been just across the road from us. That was kind of scary but I was more concerned about how hot and sweaty I was. It was gross. I was SO excited to have lunch with Holly(isn't she gorgeous??!!)!!!! After a cruddy morning a lunch with a friend was just what I needed! I laughed so hard!! I have to share the following story. There are some things that happen that I just can't keep to myself. It physically pains me not to share the hilarity with others. What happened next is a true story of true events. I came back from lunch Thursday, and Jessi had quite the hilarious story for me of what had happened while I was gone. As she struggled to tell me, she was almost crying she was laughing so hard, and the story only got funnier as the day went on. By the night fall when I relayed it to Bryna I threw myself into a coughing fit because I was laughing so hard. Hopefully the hilarity will translate through written word. Rewind to 1 pm Thursday. I walk into the office after lunch and start putting my stuff together and sit down. I always ask if anything noteworthy happened while I was gone or anything I should know about. Jessi starts laughing and covering her mouth with her hand. Through her laughter I finally get her to tell me what happened. Our unnamed work study who shall hereby be...

Ohhhh memories!!

So back in the day when I worked at the construction place, we had a remodeling project. Yes the construction place got constructed! ha! My partner in crime, Amey, got moved upstairs, instead of in the office next to the front desk where I was at. So we had to get creative on how to pass paperwork and our beloved Chicks, Ducks and Bunnies. Because neither of us was tromping up and down the stairs. Not happenin! Enter Amey's Fabulous invention and one of my top funniest moments at that job! What you're seeing is a computer mouse cord, with a binder clip tied to the end of the cord. She would dangle it from the landing to get papers that she needed. I really wish I had a picture of us transferring the candy. The binder clip was clipped to a Styrofoam cup and candy was then loaded inside and pulled up to the second floor. Seriously one of the funniest things EVER!!

Priorities....

Thursday I was minding my business at work when I noticed we had a tour heading down our hall. They usually stop outside our door and point and wave at me since my desk is right by the door and the hallway. Well I won’t be mean to the poor lady who was leading the tour. I think she was new or had never led a tour before because she was really struggling. She called our SIM people Cadavers, walked into an empty and dark classroom and then tried to lead the 50+ 8-9 year old children on the tour into a class having a test. Needless to say it was not going that smoothly and I stopped what I was doing and just sat there and listened to the entire thing unfold. She tried to draw them in with a talk about the Dental Assisting program and the importance of Oral Health but it quickly became obvious they were not with her.. nooot exactly. She finished her Teeth Spiel and asked if there were any questions. Suddenly I hear a little tiny little boy voice, so very politely...

It's only a game...

So apparently I have famous friends! My "little brother" Trevor went to the PU/MI game Saturday night and I think he was the only Michigan fan in the building bless his heart.. His enthusiasm, or lack thereof, considering how the game was going, made him appear on ESPN. When I heard he was on ESPN I was not shocked. Nope, not at all. I thought well, of course, why would he not be! Its Trevor! I have to admit though I laughed pretty hard when I watched the clip, and you will too! Just c lick and go to the 00:16:32 mark and then the 01:57 mark

Blog Take #2

Well I had half of a huge blog written untill i did something wacky and erased all of it before it had saved itself. :( So here we go again! Its Friday night and despite the fact that WNTW is a rerun and the Olympics covereage is taking up my normal friday nite Dateline NBC watching, I am in a fabulous mood. I gave my notice at work today and it went really well. I was pretty worried and stressed out about it, basically freaking out. I had to wear a high necked shirt to work today because I had my scared/nervous rash on my chest and neck. So that was lovely. Anyways, my Boss took it well, she was happy for me. Sad to see me go, but happy for my career path. She even told me that if things didn't work out down the road and I needed a job, to call her and she would be happy to have me back. So that was really cool. I respect her alot and for her to say that to me and give me her blessing really meant alot to me. The rest of the day went MUCH BETTER after that. Even though all but two...
