Whew! Look at me all caught up! Just in time for the New Year! When we last left off,  I was at the Farm with my nephews. Christmas Eve I got up bright and early again to get ready to head back to town to serve at my churches Christmas Eve Services. I was in charge of leading guest services for both services. I also had to run to both of our local police depts before church to drop off the cards my students had decorated for them and the treats i had made. That is possibly my favorite Christmas eve tradition! I love surprising them and how excited they get. Doing something nice for someone, when they don't expect it, is just really fun!  I made my deliveries and then arrived early at church. I waited by the fireplace chatting and got congratulated on my recent engagement by Pastor Dave. Except i'm not engaged. Or even dating. HA! We were both confused, but it became the joke of the evening. Bless his heart, he was excited for me. I would be too! HA HA HA! ...

So when we left off with last week's recap, I was regailing you with the tales of the extreme dental pain I was in. I had to suffer all of Monday before I could get in with the Dentist on Tuesday. Helpful with emergency apts, they are not. I did manage to get a little bit of sleep on Monday night, and was up early and terrified Tuesday morning. I don't know why I was so scared, but I really was. I played "Lord I need you" on the piano before I left to try and calm myself down, I was walking around my house praying out loud, I was terrified! I think I was most worried they wouldn't be able to figure out what was wrong with me, that they wouldn't be able to fix it that day, or that they would and I would get sick from the numbing. The last three times I have had dental work done I have gotten flu like symptoms from the numbing shots. The first two times were somewhat far apart, and both times I thought I just had food poisoning. I threw up over night bu...

8/52- The Start of my Birthday Week!!!!

Last week's weather can be summed up in two words. Wind and Rain. And my hair forecasted the weather QUITE well. it was huge and massively curly all week long. Wednesday the countdown to my birthday got serious! Less than a week! I posted this on IG, but I have to laugh when I see this picture. All I can see is my pianist fingers and the space between my pinky and ring fingers. # I like big chords and I cannot lie! So Thursdays I don't teach until later in the afternoon. I Always think I will get a ton of work done at home and on the computer. And I usually end up running errands. That day I had a chiro apt, and then had to run to Aldi for groceries to make my special Sunday lunch for my birthday party with my parents. And I went somewhere else, but I can't remember where....... I failed at taking pictures Friday and Saturday, but nothing exciting happened. Sunday I was super excited for the day and really thankful to be feeling well. Last year my ch...

WHOOO HOOO!!! Made it to the last of 2017 and managed to do a weekly recap each week! I am proud of myself! Never mind that it's 2018 when I'm writing this. I didn't say they were all timely :)  Christmas Day I woke up in my own house. Coffee and foodless. It was a rough start! I packed up my carry on, and hit the road for attempt #2 to go home. But first! I had a special stop to make. The day before I dropped off Christmas Cards my students had decorated and a big batch of my homemade fudge to our Police Dept. I wasn't able to do our other Police Dept (On the West Side) so I stopped there on the way home Christmas morning! I have to say it was really fun to do it on Christmas morning! I met a really nice Officer and he was super sweet and so appreciative of the gift. Made my day! After that I stopped at the gas station for a little gas and got a drink and a mini bag of chips for breakfast.   I finally made it home, carried all my stuff inside and it was FINA...
