I am DEFINATELY my father's daughter..

I went back for physical therapy last night, and thanks to tromping along in the snow at pu my ankle was hurting again. My therapist had me lay on my stomach so he could massage the tendons in my leg, leading down to my ankle. The man got out lotion and everything! ohmyword. it felt sooo amazing!! So Amazing that I fell asleep!!!! It was glorious!! After that I went next door to visit the dr for the third time in less than a month, for my infectious disease. Thankfully I have kicked the ear infections but I still have a sinus infection. So he gave me some killer antibiotics and hopefully that will do the trick. Once I finish I will have been on antibiotics for 34 days. happy 2009 Y'all!! After you see the DR you have to wait a few mins in the room alone while he writes up your scripts and gives the directions to the nurse. Sometimes I get bored. And sometimes, like last night, I am bored and the dr has left behind instruments. I have always wanted to use one of those things they us...

I might have found the man of my dreams....

I went to my first full Physical Therapy apt last night for my ankle. I had knee surgery and did therapy for it back in 2002, and I was expecting it to be a very painful experience, where I grunt, yell and assault my therapist. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was nothing like what I had expected! In fact, it was one of the most relaxing things I have done in awhile! Generally i HATE people touching my feet. I am tickilish, and they are always cold no matter what time of year it is.. But I didn't mind him! It was basically a 30 min foot massage. Oh man. Did it ever feel good!! he started by massaging my bone and limbering it up. After that I did some exercises, and he got on the floor and held onto my bone and helped it move as I worked, essentially re-training it how to move properly. That made a HUGE difference in my leg squats. This past week they have been so painful, I have tears in my eyes by the time I finish them. Not this time! It felt FABULOUS!!! And the bes...

Funny Moments from last week...

I'm rather grumpy today, I have a case of the Mondays, so I decided to share two moments from last week that cracked me up. The first is a message my Pastor left me on my facebook. I had commented him after the rhyming prayer from the Inaguration and this is what he left for me... Don Whipple wrote at 8:50am Thanks Charity . . . by the way . . . I pray the Lord blessesall your messesand hears yawhen ya confessescause lifecan be full of stresses, but Jesusfor ya intercesses! Wall-to-Wall - Write on Don's Wall Oh Pastor Whips, you make me smile!! And the second is an email from my Mom. The back story to this: my parents LOVE 24, like seriously love: the world stops when its 9 pm on a Monday night. My Mom found a website phonezoo.com where you can get free ringtones so she downloaded the CTU ringtone to her home phone and my cell phone. So now I have my ringer for my parents set to the CTU Ringtone. Its only appropriate that I then answer the phone and say "CTU this is Chloe...

Ahh.... I feel better now!!

I'm sorry if this picture grosses anyone out, but I thought I would show y'all why I was so sick! This is the inside of my stomach, the picture on the left is what my stomach looked like beforehand. The tiny tiny opening at the bottom is about the size of an eraser on a pencil. That is the opening that all my food was supposed to go through after eating. The picture on the right is what my stomach looks like now and is SUPPOSED to look like. As you can see the opening for my food to pass through is MUCH MUCH bigger. So its really no wonder I was so sick and in so much pain all this time!! I am so glad I had this done again. God bless Botox!!!! My GI specialist said that his partner at IU Med Center is actually specializing in this field of delayed stomach emptying.. (It has a fancy name, I just can't spell it!!) So I think I will be paying him a visit in the next few months to see if there is anything other than this surgery that I can do to feel good. JESUS IS COOL!!

Never a dull moment..

Well I did survive my surgery this past Weds, although the day was full of drama. I got up to several inches of snow on the ground and more falling.. It took my Mom almost an hour and a half to get to my apt from her house, which is much longer than usual. Finally we got on the road and had planned an hour to make it to Lebanon.. Even though it is more like 40 mins to get there. We got 4 miles away from the exit we needed to get off on, and were backed up in stopped traffic. At that point it was 12 minutes before I was scheduled to be at the hospital. So I had to call outpatient surgery and let them know we were stopped in traffic. The Nurse that I talked to told me there had just been a huge accident with two semis and thats why we were stopped. At that point Mom and I were pretty worried. My Specialist is at the Hospital there untill Noon and then in the office that afternoon. So if I didn't get in that morning I wasn't having the surgery. We could see an exit sign on the oth...

An Afternoon that needs preserved...

I have laughed more this afternoon than I have in a very long time.. Something happened at work that we all found hilarious, and to preserve the memory I am going to try and write it down here.. Hopefully the humor will be clear to all:) Our office was rather slow and quiet without all of the students back from break and a few people out sick.. I was working in the back by the copier when I heard the door open in the front, so I went up to help the person who had come in. He needed to check out a key to one of our conference rooms. He was signing the key out in our book so I went back to where I was working. All of the sudden he starts talking to me over the cubicle, and it was rather weird. Finally he leaves, and the door clicks shut and I finish what i was doing and go back to the front. I pass Carol's cubicle and she says "My, he was rather chipper!!" I said lets be honest here, he was weird ok, not chipper!! Now here is where I might lose all of my two readers... I am...
