April's Wedding- Wait!! There's a cop! Crap now there's two!!

After the wedding, Katie and I headed to downtown Marshall to wander around and relax for a bit before the reception. Apes had told us to go check out the fountain that she used to eat lunch at everyday when she lived there. This is how it all started. Bare feet.. I went to get into the fountain, after we looked all around to find out if there were posted signs prohibiting it. There weren't. So we decided to claim innocense and be tourists and say we were from out of state if we *I* got caught. Well right before i jumped in the fountain I saw a cop. That put a hold to it! And then i saw another cop!! That put more of a hold on it! but finally they went away and i hopped in! BOY HOWDY WAS IT COLD!!! This is my I'm dying of hypothermia, I had no clue it was this freakin cold look!! But trooper that I am I posed! And then I hopped out and did a dance trying to get the blood flowing to my feet again. I think they are still cold! US! We were getting tired at this point. Me and...

April's Wedding- The Ceremony!

The ceremony went very well minus the inn keeper's wife telling me to turn on the march down the aisle song when it wasn't the right time! Luckily I was able to fade it out without the bride noticing. :) They weren't too great on their timing sending people down the aisle. The flower girl was absolutely adorable!!!! She had a matching dress to Apes!! There was a perfect breeze that day! It had rained This was a really special moment. Katie was taking pictures for me as I was off to the size by a bench with the boom box. Apes walked to the arch and stood there with the music as we had planned and was looking around. She got this look on her face and I could tell she was looking for me :) this picture is the moment she spotted me. It was really sweet! April and Steve saying their vows. Notice her beautiful dress blowing in the breeze! Perfect outdoor princess wedding dress!! So sweet. I teared up during the vows. I can't help it! The Receiving line. Funny story. The...

April's Wedding- The BEAUTIFUL Bride!!

I just had to add these pictures taken by her friend Alicia. Apes looked SO beautiful it literally took my breath away when I saw her!! She was even more gorgeous in person than these pictures convey! As I told her friend Mickey- She doesn't look like that in the office!! HA!

April's Wedding- Pre Ceremony!

After our Leroy Adventure we headed to Marshall, MI to prepare for the ceremony. I was doing the music so we needed to get there early and get things set up and tested. Luckily set up went well and we were ready way ahead of time! Despite the inn keepers trying to make us do manual labor and set up chairs in our dress clothes, we entertained ourselves before guests arrived! Here I am Practing for my walk down the aisle! Someday!! This is the best picture that Katie and I have ever taken! Definately a framer!! There was a swing on the property so we went a swingin!! Go Katie Go!! And then it was time for the ceremony.....

April’s Wedding- Darn that Leroy!!/ Best Western SUCKS Pt. 2

We had a lovely 10 hours spent in our hotel room. Ok not really. We were both exhausted and wanted more sleep but alas that was not happening. We knew we had to be early to the wedding site because I had to set up the music and get the timing and volume right so we headed out before check out time. As I came out of our hotel room, I spied a short little man several feet in front of us. Is that? I asked Katie. Yes, yes it is. Ol Leroy was checking out of his (ahem OUR) hotel room at the same time. Glory. I immediately began to pray. We had such a bad night with him and I had been so upset when we got to our room I really didn’t want to get upset again and ruin the entire day. So I purposed not to say anything and handle the situation like a lady. A deaf mute lady. Hey, Whatever works. We arrived downstairs in the lobby a few minutes after Leroy and we could hear him with the door to the staircase closed. Really never a good sign. Dread was in my heart at this moment. And maybe a little ...

April’s Wedding- Darn that Leroy!!/ Best Western SUCKS Pt. 1

Oh where to start?! I have desperately wanted to blog about this for days now!! Friday night after 10 pm we made it to Battle Creek. We stopped at April’s hotel to get the music for the ceremony and for the DJ. She gave us pizza from the rehearsal dinner, and despite almost running over some people who were sitting outside the hotel that looked like rejects from Jersey Shore, we managed to leave and drive down the road to our hotel. We were looking forward to a refreshing swim in the hotel pool and to noshing on some pizza and having a fun night. Those plans never happened. Instead here is what transpired. We arrive at the hotel and go in to the front desk. I tell him my name and that we are checking in. This starts the nightmare that goes on for the next hour. I should mention at this point it is 10:30 pm. I will save you from the entire hour, but what we found out had happened, was that the MANAGER had let someone else check into our room. Our room. That we had paid for. We paid good...

April's Wedding- South Bend Chocolate Company!

We got back on the road and headed towards South Bend. Katie travels there a lot for work and was very excited to introduce me to the South Bend Chocolate Company. It has become my new favorite place on earth. South Bend has a really cute downtown. I wished we had more time to walk around and see everything; it was a beautiful night and just a really cool little place!! We made our way to the store stopping to get pictures with two hot men I met. I’m pretty sure one, if not both is going to propose soon. We made our way inside with me snapping pictures, I am such a tourist. Someone yelled out behind the counter, HEY! NO PICTURES ALLOWED!!! Scared the crap out of me. It’s not like I was taking a picture of their super secret chocolate recipe, I was taking a picture of the flowers hanging from the ceiling. Then he started laughing hysterically, apparently at the shocked look on my face. Funny dude, reaalllll funny!!! Look at the size of that cake!!! I was drooling but also wondering h...
